Do you hate people?

Shalom,

As a Calvinist, I believe that humans are morally depraved, so I have nothing but contempt for them. I don't seek to hurt them, but I don't help them or even sympathize with them; they're not worth my time.

You're human, too. Do you hate your self? :p

What about you? Love humans or hate them?

Thanks for participating.

I don't hate them. Although, I can say I only love a few of them.

Thanks for all your responses.

As a Calvinist, I believe that most people in this world are reprobates destined for perdition; they are vile, wicked creatures, hating God and hated by God. So hating such despicable beings seems justifiable, as also inevitable.

Is that the typical Calvinist party line?

Not exactly, but no Calvinist can be sure of his or her own salvation, because salvation is determined solely by unconditional election. Only God chooses and knows who is saved, so internationalist could very well be one of those "hated by God".

That he has become a Calvinist is proof of his election.

What question?

Every one that I've asked you since the first time I responded to one of your posts. For now, how about this one: (from post #25 of this thread)
Is that the typical Calvinist party line?

Also wondering why someone who thinks that he's been chosen, and that the rest of us are basically screwed, would feel compelled to tell us about it.

That would be kind of like a healthy kid standing outside the cancer ward at a children's hospital going "nyah nyah nyah nyah nyah" at all the sick kids, wouldn't it?

Could very well be.

Cancer patients deserve our sympathy. Reprobates don't.

Would you mind rephrasing #25?

Sure. I was asking if this...

Thanks for all your responses.

..is the standard Calvinist view on the issue.

Empathy is my speciality. Could be, mostly or partly, due to my disability though. It's also funny as I usually prefer a quite night at home than a night clubbing. Humans can be horrible sometimes but I tend to believe that they're mostly well intentioned. I don't tend to lend things to them, but that's probably more due to experience and my lack of a decent memory (so I can bug them if they don't return it after a while :D).
