I dislike/fear some religious people and believe that some religions should be done away with, but I voted no, because according to my understanding a phobia is an irrational fear. Dislike and/or fear of real danger is not irrational.

I may be a little religophobic at times. You know I often blame many of the world's problems on the state of the churches, but that is not really religiophobic.

I'm not phobic of religion, I just don't like the fact that it hasn't developed for thousands of years. It's taken up to ten years ago to develop syntheism, which should be viewed by its own right as a type of advanced theology, but because people in religion respect tradition more than progress, there won't be any other strong, prominent syntheists besides me and few core syntheists that are active throughout the Internet. I can name the number of syntheists I know on one hand. That shouldn't be the case.

Not when asked like that. But yes regarding certain flavors of certain religions. A part of it isn't, because there is the rational, such as the parts that are basically self defense, reasons stemming from spiritual abuse suffered from the Church, and reasons of science and ideology to oppose it, I do take it much further (In the series the Last Kingdom, I don't hide one of the reasons I love Uhtred is because he hates Christianity).
Anti-Christ would be more accurate, especially it is definitely a self described and avowed "anti" of it, very conscious and deliberate of my efforts and actions, and in now way is this an unlearned or irrational phobia that might not even be unconscious. Mine very much is a conscious, and I'm not looking for excuses to excuse it or cover it up.

No I am not religiophobic. But I dislike the way some people act, while using their religion as a shield and excuse for why they are acting like a jerk.

& circumstances) in order to have a compelling interest
in curbing its deleterious effects upon us & even adherents.
For example, allowing Catholics to dominate 6/9 of SCOTUS
is already harming the lives of many. To see that threat posed,
& to advocate for more secularity is useful....very appropriate.

Absolutely not. There are religions that I think have destructive or antisocial beliefs but, as I've said many times today, scriptural literalism is a lazy, boring argument. And I'm tired of trying to argue against 'religion' with an argument that only represents a tiny minorities actual beliefs. And it's a minority even in Abrahamic religions, let alone the hundreds of religions outside the Abrahamic paradigm.

They'll only have a majority for another thirty years or so. Why complain? I do recall, however, that the Fellowship Forum long ago published a book in 1910 about the dangers of letting Catholics into US government. They said that it was part of a plot by the Vatican. Despite that warning here we are with President Kennedy and six Supreme Court Justices.

Absolutely not.

What I feel towards religion- all religions- is passionate interest and respect. What I find most intriguing, is their gods… and the stories they tell about those who embrace them. The monuments people build, the art they create, the things they write…. when it comes to religion, I wish I could see it all.

The older I get the more I wish people would grow up and abandon childish religious faith in favor of basic logic and critical thinking skills. When you set aside logic and critical thinking when it comes to religion, it's that much easier for people to set aside logic and critical thinking when it comes to other subjects. That's why we're all doomed, because far too many people ignore the indisputable facts and simply take it on faith that climate change is nothing but a hoax.

I dislike some aspects of some religions. Specifically how they can affect an individual.
Like for example Jehovah’s Witnesses forbidding potentially life saving medical procedures for it’s adherents. (Blood transfusions.)
But I do not want to see religion done away with either. Because at the end of the day that Jehovah’s Witness has every right to do and believe whatever they wish. That’s their right as a free human in society. It is what it is
