Do you miss some RFers?

I can't believe anyone would post such nonsense. Beautiful women are obviously proof of Satan, and the Earth is 6,000 years old.

Wrong wrong wrong. Beautiful women are proof of Aphrodite and the Earth is 983,748,833 years old. Don't you know anything?

Don't you mean proof of aliens? :p

I saw OP say they miss mr and mrs cardero. Remember the comic strips mr cardero used to do, those were amazing. Such a lovely couple.

Actually, I think that's why Smoke left. :(

Yup, I remember the moment. Smoke was pretty much the only genuine and consistent friend I've had on RF.

That may be the dumbest post I've seen you make.

But I don't care anymore. For five years on RF, I've put up with Christian hatred of gay people and Muslim hatred of gay people, and every conceivable slur and lie about gay people, and being addressed on this forum in a manner that would not be permitted of any other group. And now I'm actually expected to explain why it's offensive to use "gay" as an insult. It's the last ******* straw.

I'm done here.

It was on fire when I laid down on it.
Well, I am not going to judge Smoke's personal experience here. I like Smoke and wish he had not left.

However, I will say this - I choose not to be offended by some of the ridiculous tripe I read here some days. I mean, I COULD be offended - as a Christian, a woman, a peron whose been divorced twice, a business owner, a middle aged white person, a libertarian, a capitalist, an American and US citizen, with a very diverse military family. Oh yes, I COULD be offended nearly every day that I visit this site. And I could let it get to me and become bitter.

But I won't let that happen. I may leave the site one day, but it will be long before I've allowed anyone's comments to disrupt my peace of mind or hurt my feelings.

So far, I've been able to remain objective.

I like Smoke.
But his sensitivity is rather unidiredctional.
He had a wee bit of trouble showing other groups the respect he wanted for his.
Tis a recipe for woe.
But he's a young fella.
I expect that he'll be stronger if/when he returns.
Experience & subsequent distance from it provide clarity.

I am sensitive at times too. I have said it twice before that I'll leave the forum (and actually, currently planning to). But I just can't. I'm hooked..

This can be said about a couple posters who have left for the same reason. They rant about intolerant views being tolerated here but are completely blind to the same type of behavior they themselves exhibit towards those they disagree with.

I miss that one guy who always said "there's the statement, where's the proof?" and that other guy who always said "and I would like to get into that."

Twilight Hue

Twilight, not bright nor dark, good nor bad.
........Believe it or not, I actually miss the debates with FFH too.

I'm sure if you really want we can find someone to post threads about how beautiful women are proof of "God" and that the Earth is 13,000 years old. :p

Honestly I have always liked the fringe and way out there type folks like FFH. Not soley for the *ahem* strange debates, and obvious entertainment, but that they hold view(s) that are not typically the norm of which takes you in rather intresting directions that you wouldnt otherwise. A bit like watching Tim and Eric, but with interactive commentary.

OMG that "and I would like to get into that" guy was HILARIOUS!
I wonder if everyone forgot his name or we're just not mentioning it for some reason. :p

It starts with a D, I think, and he had a panther avatar, but I'm really lazy right now.

But how about DallasApple? She hasn't posted since the beginning of the year, but it looks like she still comes online. :O

Hey Dallas!

EDIT: I'm not lazy enough, it seems. Danmac.
