Europe is more left/liberal than the U.S., so why aren't those countries Soviet analogs? They have better worker rights, high standard of living, etc. and we're not even near the top when it comes to freedom.

Republicans are typically in the upper right quadrant, whereas democrats are typically in the lower left (communists would be upper left).
It's such blatant projection, and to my mind them acknowledging that Trump is what they claim about Biden. They seem to be using these inaccurate words to normalize what Trump has done, and is: an authoritarian that does not honor his oath of office, nor values democracy. Anyone who supports Trump has to hold the same anti-democratic values, Trump does not offer anything more advantageous to America than Chris Christies, except the huge middle finger to the rule of law, democracy, to democrats, etc.
