I agree too much division may not be so good but I voted Absolutely as it seems to include beer.

What I'm thinking is, instead of a DIR or an LGBT Only subforum, it would be best as a black subforum in the The Social World area. That way, anyone can post there about topics pertaining to LGBT issues and so it won't be a ghetto.

Gosh, if a politician promised a sufficient amount of free beer, I would probably vote for him. But none of the cheap stuff!

Last I heard is that a thread was made for staff to discuss it. That was the day before yesterday, IIRC.

Why not? But I do personally think that shouldn't be the top of the list of subforums that should be made.

Perhaps it doesn't even need to be. There is sexuality subforum to discuss general sexuality (and I envision that's how it's supposed to be treated) as well as a category for political discussion about the matter. When it comes to personal life conflictions, there is the "Social World" forum which covers pretty much everything.

Are you talking about the Rainbow Room? That's private and most people probably don't even know about it. That room is useful for people who want to talk about it in private, but not for general discussion.

I'm a tad confused. I have no objections to ANY DIR forum specific to LGBT (or even more specifically, Transgenderism and transsexualism) issues. NONE.

I do not make it my point or interest to even discuss/debate affiliated "issues" unless they are specifically brought forward into PUBLIC discussion/debate...EVER.

This returns again everyone as to whether "parades" in PUBLIC places even admit or enjoin PUBLIC scrutinies. If you are at least going to block traffic downtown, the rest of us are entitled to know why a street is closed to vehicular access to benefit your "cause".

This is NOT an unfair burden to meet, even within a deep red town such as mine. And, for what it's worth, I'm still on your side

It sounds so phony I know, so classic of a line "one of my best friends", but indeed one of my best friends of all time and a great Hindu as well turned out to be gay and unfortunately he died of AIDS. As some say, Gay is not just a liberal, a conservative, a Catholic, a Hindu, so on and so forth, but all these things. My good friend was an anti-Communist Hindu and a conservative for example.
