That is not the Islam I see.
Mostly all Muslims are peace loving people who want the best for others.
Depends on what kind of spectacles one is wearing.
I have my doubts about that.
That said, if people hate you because you're Sufi, they are likely ignorant of the teachings.
No one else hates Sufis but most Muslims. Sufism is sugar-coated Islam. Allah still is One and Mohammad is still the last messenger.

Are you in the belief that because I chose to convert to Sufi islam i should become a hater, rapist, woman hater, sexist, liar, criminal, murderer?
No

Isnt it the people who do those horrible things to others that is the issue?
Yes

Those who use the verses made during time of war to justify their own evil deeds?
Yes

I realized that the OP may have come across as a bit of an attack on the people opposing Islam, that was not the intention in a negative way. I wanted to understand why it is more focused on what is bad because clearly there is bad happening from those who call themselves Muslims but are terrorists.

But for those of us who are not fundamentalists or terrorists, there are so much good within this religion. unfortunately the focus on the negative take away the sight of the good.

The thing for me is: I know even the scripture speak of this will happen, so I should not be surprised
But this is just natural anyway, for any such belief system, as to bad deeds being apportioned to the religious belief alone when such might not be so. Just human nature to not see the larger picture I'm afraid.

There's more than a 'few'. A lot more.

A 'few' cannot take over entire governments or coordinate global acts of terrorism on people.

The hard fact is there are actually a lot. Not a 'few'.

That said, I'm sure there are actually some Muslims who want a peaceful life and wish to practice their religion not wanting to stir up trouble for others out there.

Unfortunately reputations are based on association of one's peers even if not directly involved.

Like how Evangelicals have affected the overall reputation of Christianity and made things worse and worse for them.

Several years ago, soon after 9/11 i read a piece (repeated often enough) that around 0.006% of muslims were radicalised. I dont know about you but i reckon 0.006% is, in the scheme of things considered to be a few

This is the feeling i get from a very few people, that because I personally chose to become a Muslim I would automatically become a Taliban who hate everything except them selves and their ego?

Why let the few who are not, destroy the many who want you happiness and love?

May it be that it takes time and effort daily to understand the teaching, but those who do not study can only see the words, but not the truth?

One thing is brother, you know nothing about the Taliban. ;)

Anyway I think some ignorant bigots have kind of set you off. Most of them are just bigots anyway so they look for what can help them with their racism and bigotry. This is there in all communities, but due to the industry built upon hating islam, the information these people receive is all assistance to further their agenda. Lol. Just a day or two ago, two islam hating individuals were pretending to arabic experts. They will even pretend to be like that just to spread a little more hatred.

The problem is their epistemology. The few atheists who act like that study islam from Anti Islamic, Christian websites with no scholarship. I can give names but I won't. I mean of these websites and sources. But they dont know about other Christian scholars who have studied Islam to such a deep level that even Muslim scholars value them above other Muslim scholars. There are atheists who have become Islamic scholars. Or at least in the history of Islam, the Arabic language, the Quran, palaeography, arabic philology, manuscript criticism, etc etc etc. So an atheist, Christian or anyone else should look for scholarship from sources like that.

When their sources are so poor as some website, and some even "pretend" to be experts in the language when it seems like basic ABC's lacking, this is what you should expect. Don't get affected. Be yourself. Consider this a good opportunity to understand and analyse all the fallacies people are capable of doing. Write a book.

Peace.

When all you know is some kind of hatred, information will only seem false to you. Because you just wish to hate people. ;)

If you want to know about terrorism, study it a little.

But I know that studying cannot be expected from some people. Studying is a waste of time when you can spend that time hating people and getting that adrenalin rush. We see it very often, daily, everywhere. gather some knowledge rather than making guesswork. Its unbelievable how much guess work is at play. People must understand epistemic credibility. IN this world with all kinds of rant based journalism, and nations and societies born with some kind of normalised ontological bias and racism are unrecognised by their inhabitants.

Seek knowledge on the subject if you can.

A bit like accusing the many of depicting religions as being the cause of all strife? Perhaps look at your own posts.

You ask a simple question, below is my reply (hence my opinion):
1) My Master used to say "Tell me your company, I tell you who you are"
Knowing this, I can understand that people are critical towards Islam, because those Islamists make headlines in the News, and it's scary

2) Another important thing is "Those who don't condemn the Islamists are as guilty" some might say

Sadly I have witnessed on RF that many Muslims do not condemn such violent acts, even IF I asked about it specifically, seeing they kept silent. IF asked they choose to NOT be specific, and not be open (maybe 2 or 3 exceptions, which I appreciated a lot; they need not say much, just acknowledge "yes they are wrong", IF they don't say that, I can't trust them).

This is a major problem, and those Muslims who do not openly criticize Islam very clearly, but choose to keep quiet, might be a big reason that non-Muslim feel it as their important duty to point out this big wrong of Islamists

Note: these Islamists kill even more Muslims than non-Muslims. So, I guess Muslims (non Islamists) are all against those Islamists. But I also guess that many are too scared to stand up. Even Western governments are scared now, inventing Islamophobia to shut people up, scared some other twin towers get hit or worse

I feel for you. Perhaps not to the same extent but as a pagan who worships Loki I get hate from some norse pagans. As someone who worships Lucifer...well the opinion folks have of him isn't too good as you know. Because of the fact Im a witch, a pagan, and I worship Lucifer I've gotten lots of hate some folk seem to think I'm evil, I'd sacrifice children, I'd murder if given the change, Im a pedophile, I have sex with the devil, im sacriligious, I hate Christians, Im demon possessed, I'd hex everyone, I have no morals etc.... But islamophobia is probably a little different. Once I wear my headscarf more often I'd probably get some of that aimed at me by mistake.

Folks are ignorant

I think I understand what you mean, and I agree with that

No one else hates Sufis but most Muslims. Sufism is sugar-coated Islam.

Allah still is One and Mohammad is still the last messenger.
Such a belief in itself is violent, disrespectful, imposing on all others and definitely "NOT loving"
Are you sure that "mostly all Muslims" believe this way, that would be really horrible?

Ignorant is not a problem

Being judgmental is the real problem
(and imposing on others even worse)
Ignorance seems to be part. Folk like that don't even acknowledge anything on anything that doesn't support their views.

Cause the players gonna play, play, play, play, play
And the haters gonna hate, hate, hate, hate, hate
Baby, I'm just gonna shake, shake, shake, shake, shake
I shake it off, I shake it off (Whoo-hoo-hoo)

It is definitely horrible, but I do not think it can be corrected. Blast in Kunduz, at least 50 dead, 90 injured. It was a Shia mosque in a Sunni majority country.
90% Sunni, 7% Shia. So Shias have no right to exist there.

Then your research methodology is very poor.

I really wanted to get some more information on your system or belief. I found it fascinating to note you have said "satanic paganism". I know about the satanic church etc etc, but I have never heard about your belief. But sigh, another day, another time. I would like to know more.
