Does Being Born Again Make You A Better Person?

Yes. As long as you aren't trying to play some game with God. He sees through that and knows the intention of your heart.

A cessation of typing does not necessarily mean a change of heart or belief.

While I see what you mean, I am still inclined to believe what I said initially. It seems like just twisting the words around to fit what seems nicer.

What about the unforgivable sin of blasphemy against the Holy Spirit?>>>lilithu
A question. Since I have blasphemed against the Holy Spirit many, many times, does it mean it is now impossible for me to be saved and my sins forgiven?

Of course not. If you choose today to accept the Holy Spirit in your heart, you will be forgiven your blasphemy. Your other sins are already forgiven but if you wish to be saved you must do what it takes to be saved.

What if the Holy Spirit never enters my heart?

.The God of the Bible is fair game imo! >>>Tangnefedd

My understanding is that He has given you that opportunity to either accept Him or not.
You could be zapped out of existence if He had no compassion, but instead he will suffer you to exist even if you don't accept Him.

I can say with allot of joy that God has touched my life time and time again.
Should I give that up? I'd be a fool to!

Peace>>>AJ

If it works for you go for it, it doesn't work for everyone though!

You are confusing acceptance in your heart with receiving the Spirit of God as your Lord and Savior. When you do the former you have reverted from blasphemy. When you do the latter you are allowing God to affect your heart, head and everything else.

I hate to say this, Muffled, but nothing is considered immoral any more. I guess people just want to do whatever they want and not have to face any consequences for it. They do not even want God to judge them. I guess that is why most people don't want to follow religion any more. Religions put restrictions about doing certain things.

These were basically good people (most likely attending Catholic and Greek Orthodox churches) who tend to forget godliness at work in the hopes for material gain. I doubt they considered the repercussions involved if they were to be caught. In the end the Catholic person would figure that overall she was a better than average person so she wouldn't have to worry about Hell.

Usually I do what is right because I want to please God but in this case I had no desire to run afoul of the IRS. They can do a serious number on you. The criminal mindset is that you will always get away with it. Do it often enough, sooner or later the law catches up with you.
