Does it matter how universe was created?

Action without thought is that really a good thing?

It is the best of things. Action without interference from a device that thinks everything has two sides.

As an atheist, I know you don't believe in a personal god as most religions paint him to be.

Neither do I.

But to me, "God" is an ever present state of super awareness. You're aware of the mind and it's input, but you don't allow it to run your life. You use it as the tool it was intended to be.

The heart "knows" things without any kind of mental activity attached to it. It is in the heart that the true seat of your consciousness lives. The true self. The mind is it's servant, but in most people, this is reversed. The mind is in control of them.

A spiritual path is nothing more than an effort to flip this polarity.

Religion attaches all kinds of ritualistic babble to it and more often than not, the people who follow it come up empty handed.

Your waking conscious state is a combination of mind and heart. Within the heart is a door. This door leads directly to the source of all that you see around you. It leads to "God". If you can find this door within yourself, all the questions that you have will be answered, including the creation of this universe.

By the time you get to this level, that question will pale in significance to what you see in front of you.

Good luck.

Sorry I do not want to casue any offense; I feel that I am going to have to disagree with you. I feel this type of thinking might have been at the root of 9-11.

I don't think it necessarily "matters" how the universe was created but it sure would be interesting to see a replay.

I am beginning to wonder if this obsession man has with the truth is the same madness that caused 9-11.

It is all so very confusing.

Are you expressing this sentiment because of my post or just the thread in general?

Because I simply mean it would be very interesting to see how the universe was made. Don't you think so?

Sorry I just quoted you because your post is what caused me to think that.

I feel that understanding how the universe was made, would be cool.

But I think we might be going about it in the wrong manner.

I loves looking at pictures of stars, galaxies and nebulae.

So for me, "yes", it matters to me how the universe came to be.

I just don't think any divine being was responsible for the creation, and certainly not created in the way in the Bible says so.

Thanks, that is a very good way to word it. :)

Oh. Well in that case I actually was trying to be profound.
