This is one I would have to think about. There is a lot of bad and only a little good but without it the bad could become terrible.

Between voluntary consenting and legal age adults yes. Porn IMO provides a healthy and proper release mentally and physically for those who in real life may find access and intimacy with a partner(s) to be difficult for one reason or another. Also porn can offer rich variety and exploration to those who desire such, as well as for those who as well, enjoy being sexually admired. Good for alternate prevention of STD's as well, at least so for the viewers.

Porn isn't really my thing, but I believe it has a very legitimate place in society, simply because there is such a large market for it. What reason would you have to deny these people their...ummmmm...hobbie (???). I suppose you could also argue that it does create a certain amount of work too.

Then there's the inverse relationship between the availability of porn and the incidence of sex crime.

If it didn't have a legitimate place, it wouldn't exist. Then again, I'm not exactly sure what you mean by legitimate.

I said not sure, because it all boils down to the individual and how that person chooses to use it. Everything in moderation.

Sure it does. It's a profession for some people, and a hobby for others. If two grown adults want to get paid to have sex in front of a camera, and another grown adult wants to pay to watch it that's not society's business.

What consenting adults do sex-wise is none of my business.
If that involves filming/taking pictures and showing them to other people either for money or for free, where's the harm.

I'm opposed to blatant exploitation though, which is why there has to be laws.

As with blatant exploitation of any kind where there isn't consent.

I agree.

Yep... the internet.

But seriously, of course. Imagine what would happen without porn. It provides an outlet for surplus sexual energy which could be used indiscriminately if not vented safely.

Does pornography have a legitimate place in society?

Yes, it does.

I think it is healthy and appropriate for people to express their sexuality, and to have the freedom to do with their sexuality and their bodies what they like (provided that everything is consensual and safe). There is, IMO, nothing wrong with people making porn, and nothing wrong with people looking at it while they masturbate or have sex. At worst, it is an unfortunate vulgarity, but at best, it is a great aid to couples in keeping their sexual relations fresh, and I think it is useful for single people in order to curb promiscuity.

Yes. For Consenting Adults? No problem. Minors, and others who can't really give consent, problem.
