Does Sabbath mean Saturday. Funny, i checked and it means "Day of Rest"

Shabbat is the seventh day of the Jewish week and is the day of rest and abstention from work as commanded by God. Shabbat involves two interrelated commandments, to remember and to observe.

God was pretty specific that the seventh day was to be the sabbath -and was to continue to be kept on the seventh day -so.... yah. It matters to God.
Men have said otherwise, but I'm gonna hafta go with God on this one.

The word "sabbath" does come from the root word to "be at rest". In Genesis, the Sabbath takes place on the Seventh Day (Gen.2:2,3)
It is called "Shabbath" because:
...on it (the seventh day) He rested (shavvath) from all His work (Gen. 2:3)
