Does Tesla Not Understand Humans?

I've driven in & around Boston too.
It's a horror I try to avoid.
From my experience you'll be fine if you are driving a bigger and older rental car than anyone else has. - True story. I was stuck trying to enter a traffic circle and finally thought just that: rental car (check), bigger (check), older(check) ---> ZOOM. And I'm here to tell that tale.

I just finished a long drive from Chicago to Denver and back, much of it an intensely boring drive through Nebraska. For much of it I found cruise control to be a blessing. But I also found that as I became less involved with the process of driving I became more likely to doze off at the wheel.

I usually wake up when I'm about 10 feet from rear-ending the car in front of me... I tend to accelerate when I fall asleep. Weird.

Thank G-d for anti-lock brakes.

I believe I fell asleep at the wheel once, at a stop light, luckily I woke up when my car started to move, luckily it started to move when the light turned green. Sleep deprivation can be nasty

Tesla is run by a carnival charlatan who keeps writing checks with his mouth his company can't cash. It's only rampant corruption and legal wrangling that keeps that ****house of a 'auto' company afloat..

I can't wait to read the news reports about the Tesla that decided to slow down and pull over while driving the Dan Ryan Expressway at rush hour in Chicago.

If a task like driving is made too automated, the repetitive view makes it
dang near impossible for a human. On locomotives, a device ensures
that the driver remains awake. For Tesla to lack this strikes me as a
dangerous lack. The underlined text bespeaks ignorance of the problem.
to remain alert.

It is called a dead-man switch. Tesla let it's progressive babble overrule decades of fail-safes not just on trains but other vehicles.

That's what you get when you let a drug-addled diamond heir decide he understands car design better then the engineers he's hired.
