Well, there's Rev 12:9. That's a decent candidate, although it's most likely not intended literally. In the hebrew bible satan is not the same concept as the Christian bible. There's a verse that has a sort of a version of the devil/satan in the hebrew bible. You might have heard of it? Samael? It's not written explicity, in theory, because having it written explicity invites uttering its name aloud which some will tell you summons it. I do not hold to that belief, and even if I did, I would never fear this "Samael".

Jeremiah 21:7
And afterward, says the Lord, I will deliver Zedekiah king of Judah, and his servants, and the people, and those who are left in this city from the pestilence, from the sword, and from the famine, to the hand of Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon, and to the hand of their enemies, and into the hand of those who seek their life; and he shall strike them with the edge of the sword; he shall not spare them, nor have pity, nor have mercy.

It doesn't really have a description of what it looks like, but, this is a verse which has a description of what Samael does. There's another sort of "dark force" in the hebrew bible refered to as the 3 totally unclean k'lipoth. They're not described nor named explicity but they are alluded to in both Gen 1 and Isaiah 1.

Not exactly
How did this version come to be?
Could be an appropriation of amalgamated pagan iconography, based on various horned deities scattered throughout Europe and Mesopotamia.

Also,

Matthew 25:32-33 KJV
"and before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats: and he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left."

That doesn't describe the appearance of Satan. But it's not hard to conclude that overtime an image would be formed.

Of course. The Bible is replete with verses describing what Satan looks like.

Depending on the context, Satan can look like the following...
  • Serpent
  • Dragon
  • Roaring Lion
  • Fowl
  • Mountain
  • Beast
  • Man
There are many more examples.

Can you please share some of these verses? I don't recall any of them describing Satan beyond his purpose and behaviors.

I think it started with the serpent in the garden ,so Satan obviously has a bit of a reptilian characteristic.

There's also descriptions of Satan being the Beast, so there's an animal characteristic, particularly goats, so at least I know where the cloven hooves came from for Satan's feet, and of course I would think horns of a goat so there is the head with the horns thing going on.

The pitchfork and the pointy tail is a little bit harder. I have no proof right now, but I kind of think it was the Puritans that puts it together like Humpty Dumpty.

Sure. This is a quote from Jesus...

John 8:44
"Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it."

The meaning is quite literal. Basically, Jesus is teaching that Satan is the biological father of the human race. That is what the Forbidden Fruit (Zygote) was all about, fertilized by Satan.

The 'us' in this verse...

Genesis 1:26
"And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth."

...is God, Satan and Mystery Babylon. We are made in the image of all three. We look like them, they look like us.

The various Antichrists described in the Bible is Satan in a human form. Here is the 'Dragon' as Pharoah...

Ezekiel 29:3
"Speak, and say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against thee, Pharaoh king of Egypt, the great dragon that lieth in the midst of his rivers, which hath said, My river is mine own, and I have made it for myself."

Many of the descriptions of Satan are euphemisms for the male reproductive system. Mountains, the head of the Beast and Dragon can represent the phallus...

The 'Seed of the Serpent' is what we call sperm, etc.

That is a nice little choir sermon, but it does not offer up a physical description....

There are allusions to Pan...

The pitchfork and the pointy tail is a little bit harder.

The 'pitchfork' is a Trident. Some suggest it is related to 'thorns'...

The Sanskrit name for the trident, trishula, is a compound of tri त्रि for "three" and śūla शूल for "thorn", calling the trident's three prongs "thorns" rather than "teeth" or dant in Sanskrit, making the word "Tridant" for trident.

The Devil and his children are often related to thorns in the Bible...

Luke 8:14
"And that which fell among thorns are they, which, when they have heard, go forth, and are choked with cares and riches and pleasures of this life, and bring no fruit to perfection."

The 'pointy tail' represents the Flagellum which draws the Star Seed of Man towards the Ovum...

Revelation 12:4
"And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born."

Mother Earth 'opens her mouth' to 'swallow' the semen...

Revelation 12:16
"And the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed up the flood which the dragon cast out of his mouth."

Get it? The Bible is filled with euphemism (meat of the Word). Most Christians are still on the 'nursery rhyme' (Milk) interpretations.

So basically, it's about picking Biblical words and phrases and interpreting them to fit an agenda?

What happens if someone else interprets Biblical words and phrases differently? Are they wrong and you're right?

How does that work?

Everyone is entitled to their opinions and interpretations. I am simply following the instructions for proper exegesis...

Matthew 6:33
"But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you."

I am taught to seek the Kingdom of God first before anything else. What is the Kingdom of God?

Luke 17:21
"Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you."

It is human anatomy, physiology, biology, etc. In other words, our own bodies provide the 'error correcting code' necessary to ensure we are accurately deciphering Scripture.

Salvation is the politically correct word for God Eugenics. The Bible is literally describing the very process by which our DNA will be 'upgraded' and Gene Spliced (Grafted) into a better Genome. It is quite detailed and precise about it. I am merely documenting what I find.

The other option to God Eugenics is Man Eugenics (Transhumanism). We are here to decide which one we want.
