Does the body starts to fall apart...?

Age is in your mind, If you feel old you become old in your body too.

The body will age, regardless of one's state of mind, but I get what you're saying. If the mind thinks, "I'm old," the body will feel that age the mind says it is.

I know what you're talking about. Even though I'm a Millenial (born between 1981-96) i'm often being overtaken by Generation Z pedestrians (who are born between 1997-2012). The current gen needs to slow down and let the senior and elderly citizens pass first. ;)

Pfft.

At 55 years old, there are only a handful of coworkers (all half my age) that can keep up with me on package delivery.

They've tried to hire people my age, but all have washed out. The manager told me the owner said to her that I'm the only old person she's allowed to have there. :D

Does the body starts to fall apart once we hit the 30s? At what age do you start to feel old?

I'm in my early 30s but i often feel exhausted. Things that i loved doing like running, cycling, travelling in my mid twenties, i can't do anymore. What are your thoughts?
Early 30s and saying that you can't run etc anymore, that seems strange? Ronaldo is 36 years old, Messi is 34. Maybe you won't have the same amount of energy as in your twenties, but shouldn't prevent you from doing these things.

Get yourself checked. I started getting old in my 70s. Yeah, there is degeneration of body even earlier than 30, but it is not perceptible for a long time.
Though I wish to, but I am not living a healthy life.

Clearly, I was much better than you at abusing my body in my youth. :D

I am coming up 87 in January.
Back arthritis is now causing me problems I do daily exercises to strengthen the back muscles to keep my back upright.
But it is becoming problematic this last two years. My back tends to give way after about a mile of walking, unless I take it very easy. which is not the way I like to walk.
As you get older you collect ailments that just do not go away. but they should not stop you doing everything. ageing is progressive. Things did not start to be a problem at all till well past 70.

Im 51, in the last 3 years i feel like I'm falling apart. It stems from a minor stomach op that went wrong, followed by a second op to put things right(ish).

Before that walking 10 or 20 miles was a doddle, cycling 100 miles several days per week. After, I'm struggling to complete my morning yoga session.
Ah, the challenges of the downward facing dog. :relaxed:

But in my mind, I am as young as ever. Bones OK, except for the cervical ones, effects of being at the computer for long times. I will ask for an exercise bicycle.

This pretty much sums me up...

Used to???. Why did you give up
Too much of it I felt uncomfortable doing (or unable even). Never been very flexible; the teacher said yoga was the ideal thing to do. Never saw any improvement so sort of lost interest.
There were some seriously old people at the class that had obviously been doing it for years - they seemed to be made of rubber :p

There is a lot i can't do now so just skip those moves in my routine which has reduced from half an hour to 20 minutes per day

When you see yoga poses like this, the very first thought that comes to your mind is... "Damn she must be possessed or something." ... In my opinion, every yoga centre should have an exorcist. Just sayin'.

Could be a medical disposition. I'd see a doctor at that age.

JustGeorge, Mary Kom won a bronze at the 2012 Olympics, 9 years ago. She will, InshAllah, participate in the Paris olympics too.
