Luk 4:3 And the devil said unto him, If thou be the Son of God, command this stone that it be made bread.
The stone/s are the nation of Israel. Can Jesus as the Son of God make them believe (bread)in Him as God?
Luk 4:4 And Jesus answered him, saying, It is written, That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God.
Meaning, that just because they are the chosen does not necessarily mean they are alive.
Yes, they live but are as dead stones.
Lively stones are:1Pe 2:5 Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.
So, having said all that I have but one more thing to add, and that is that if our hearts are made of stone, we shall not see the ways, the works of God in a way that makes us living stones.
Mr. Dawkins will recognize the creator when he meets Him face to face.
Sadly, not recognizing the benefits of Jesus early in our lives is a loss.
