I personally think "God" Religions are for insecure people that want to be part of some-thing, a world wide community, feel protected. By unfortunately, they are praying to a story made up 4000 years ago .

Which is sad if you ask me

Opinions are like rear ends everybody's got one.....

Yes I am happy with mine and I'm not insecure and I don't have to make myself fit into any group or religion, I do it because I want to...I'm happy :D can't you tell?

In some ways I am overjoyed because of my religion...

In some ways I am filled with grief...

Religion isn't really to make one happy. One can be happy one minute and sad the next.
I find that my religion fills me with joy.

Ok.... what makes you happy about praying to an invisible entity , giving up your sunday, drinking red wine that is horrible, having that stale bread, and reading a made up book continuously called the bible,

Get a grip people

hahaha....well actually we drink water! :p and the bread is always fresh!

As an atheist, think of prayer like meditation, every normal person even if they are an atheist, talk to them selves once in a while to make sense of everything. That is what prayer is. For the theists, it is like a phone call to God! An overwhelming feeling of having a blanket wrapped around you!

My faith makes me happy because I am happy and my faith is all about being myself and walking my own path, which makes me happy. I don't follow it to try and "fit in" or "be part of a group", it would be pretty hard for me to do it for that reason as I am the only member of my religion, I have no one to "group" with. It also has nothing to do with "insecurity" I have a good deal of confidence in myself and my faith has actually helped me to GAIN that confidence. Besides my faith teaches me that there will come a point when "I" no longer exist, and that scares me to no end, I don't like it at all. But I still believe it. If I were into religion for security and comfort then why would I believe in something that scares me, something that I wish would not happen(I don't know if it will mind you, but I still believe it will eventually)

Also, I am an Atheist,... there's more to religion and far more religions out there than just Christianity. I myself am a pretty religious person and while I do borrow a little bit from that religion and from the teachings of Christ I am not Christian. and even when I was I never considered going to church on sunday a sacrifice of any kind, because I got to see good friends of mine there that I didn't get to see the rest of the week. And I remember having grape juice during communion with a piece of delicious french bread that may have been homemade. But these days my new faith has none of the things you mentioned. Except maybe for prayer but I prefer words like "meditation" or "communion" when describing my communication with my Patron as they I feel describe it better. So please don't lump all of us religious foke into one pile. You'll find a great deal of diersity here on RF, not just Christian.

Well i dont judge people becuase of their religion, i destest the religion istelf, they cause wars, Suicide bombings,

You cannot call that good for religions?

and do say its just a minority, because if the bible/quran/torah ETC promotes peace and Well being, Why would they want to do such horrific things?

Practicing Buddhism does not *make* me happy. It does allow me to understand my life better and to eliminate many if not most things/thoughts in my life which cause unhappiness. Only I can *make* myself happy, no matter what religion I practice or don't.

Does my (lack of) religion make me happy?
No.

Does religion in general make me happy?
No.

Does religion make others happy?
It seems so.

Can I just say that not ALL religions are the one and only Christian religion. You do know that, right?

And in answer to the OP. Kemeticism makes me happy in that it's simply a part of me and I am quite happy with myself.

Uh, religions don't cause those things, people merely use religion as an excuse to cause those things themselves. If religion weren't around people would have merely found some other excuse. And not all religions have been used as excuses to cause wars or anything else like that. I know for a fact mine hasn't. And I doubt you'll find that Buddhism has been used as an excuse along with many others.

Jesus in me
My religious beliefs make me happy. When I was a sinner, I was very unhappy with my self. Now that I am not a sinner, I am very happy with myself and very happy to have Jesus as my Savior from sin.

My daughter is very unhappy with herself and has tried to commit suicide a number of times. She has rejected the salvation of Jesus because she loves her sin.

My son is an atheist who attends church with his wife. He appears to be happy with his religious belief but then he has a good conscience and doesn't have a major problem with sin.
