or do you like dancing.......
My wife loves dancing. I can't stand dancing. Have two left feet, and I can't keep a beat to save my life. I can't even clap and sing at the same time . I have tried dancing, but could never get it. I think the problem is that I think to much (I just can't cut loose). I also think I have too good of hearing, and Atention Deficite Disorder (no joking). I can hear everything going on around me, and sometimes I will focus too much on what is going on around me rather than on my wife and myself on the dance floor.

Basically I guess I have concentration problems :bonk:. I can hear other's conversations, there foot steps, and the music all at the same time. It all turns into mush in my head :D, and trying to keep my feet going while hearing all of this is impossible.

Oh wow! Isn't it great to be able to identify with others!:D First I get told off for being tense, then I get a "Stop looking at your feet" - then I stop looking at my feet, and they decide where they are going to end up!
Clap & sing at the same time ? - I didn't know anyone could do that!:biglaugh:

I used to like going to dance clubs, and still do. Although older, I still feel the vibe, and like to pump up the jam. All the girls I've known, well most of them liked dancing in a club. But Hard House, Techno, Trance and ambient, that's music, that's my scene.

How anybody could call that stooooopid line dancing, dancing, I don't know. what the heck is that all about ?

I'm sure the Mrs does, but what in earth is it all about, I mean i've seen these cowboy types doing it, and frankly, i haven' got a clue is to why ? what is the Madison ?

Cheers

I think that line dancing in general was a way to stir audience participation and to satisfy many a lonesome cowboy/girl (no date required). The Madison is a rhythm & blue dance that was made popular in the 60's by a song called The Madison Time sung by The Ray Bryant Combo. The actual dance can be seen in it's entirety in the John Water’s movie Hairspray.

Heck yes! Except for disco. I hate disco.
OK, that's cool, and you've moved up in my estimation. Let's throw a little Techno into the mix, you like Moby ?

You need to learn to feel the music Todd! Then it'll all happen on it's own. Dont' try too hard. As constanine said "Dance like no one else is watching". :D

Sure. You like paul okenfold? (once we get outside of those two, I won't know anybody's names. You see, most of my techno comes off techno mixes people have made for me, so I never knew their names to begin with...)

I like Oakenfold, Southern Sun is one of my all time top numbers. Also, check out Tiesto, Judge Jules, top DJ's. You can listen to Judge Jules via the BBC web site , and tonight on the BBC, it's two hours of bliss with Dave Pearce,s dance anthems, 7-9pm gmt, you can listen live, each show is also available for the following week, using the listen again function. Go the BBC web-site, select radio 1, then dance pages, select the show you want, and away you go...........great.

I could never be with a guy who didn't like to dance. I mean, you don't have to be any good, you just gotta get out there and move to the music! Dancing is so much fun!

By the by, learning to tango or some other type of formal dance is on my list of things to do before I die...as long as I get to wear one of those flashy tango dresses when I do!!

Its not that hard. It just really comes down to making sure you keep moving in rythem. And not stepping on your partners feet. Allthough a slight step should bother anything. My shin bones are twisted, which caused my feet to go out, which means I don't have to worry about stepping on my partner's feet.:D
