But you're talking about second hand dialogue authored by self-serving apologists decades later. And why do you believe it? Because the pseudepigraphic 2 Timothy - an episle of uncertain authorship, an epistle written in the 2nd century, and an episle unreferenced before 170 CE - tells you that it is all true. That's about as airtight as cheese cloth.paul_an_apostle said:That's right - God did give the message to everyone - He said that only through calling upon the name of Jesus can you be saved, not Muhammed, not Ghandi, not Vishnu, not Allah; Jesus and only Jesus. Read the Bible. that's what it says.
I need a straightforward, yes or no answer. Is Ghandi saved in the afterlife?Ronald said:Mr_Sprinkles,
I wasn't addressed, but I will offer the Hebrew thought.
"The Just/Righteous of all Nations will have a share in the world to come."
Salvation is SOOO Easy, and the scriptures speak of Elect, be ye perfect, doers of the Word justified and more and more, keep the commandments, serve and be great, break one law and teach another the same, least in the kingdom, the way is narrow, hiway to hell is wide, many called few chosen, pick up your cross and follow me, reward with me, so many, oh, so many, set apart from faith. How can salvation be the end?
No where do you see anyone but the Elect, living and reigning with Yeshua!
Obedience and servitude are the attributes of the Elect. Fruit bearing branches.
The first ressurection is the Elect, the rest of the dead live not again till the thousand years end. The Elect is not ALL the saved, Yeshua says "Not all who say Lord, Lord---"
So, when called for duty, go above and beyond duty.

Mr_Spinkles said:So, if we reject Christ we can still be saved if we are righteous?

that may be your view. but God calls all of us to be open minded. God and only God.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------Jn.5:24 (RSV) Truly, truly, I say to you, he who hears my word and believes him who sent me, has eternal life; he does not come into judgement, but has passed from death to life.
Means believe on Jesus and God

Finally an easy question!Ronald said:Is anyone as confused as I am?
Unless, of course, a man says he got it from God. Then it makes all the difference.paul_an_apostle said:It makes no difference what man says - it Does make a difference what God says.
I have read and studied the Bible...if I hadn't, my belief in it may have continued indefinitely.Read the Bible people - before you debate God's salvation - please
