As much as I enjoy reading a good fantasy book and watching a good fantasy movie, I am completely uninsterested in playing make believe. It is a skip for me.
Unfortunately it sounds like you don’t know much about spirituality or have been misled.

Since you were suggesting make believe, I was talking about make believe.

I believe experiences derived via entheogens can broaden ones perception and perspective, particularly due to ego death.
I think art, music, astronomy, etc. can elicit spiritual experiences.
But how are we defining spirituality, though?
I've never had ego death. Something similar, but instead of a loss of self it was a sense of a great ego expansion.

Spirituality and religion isnt required to be happy. Some just aint interested in either
I agree. Some people are content with being grateful to their life instead of a god. Or in awe and humbled by the universe instead of god. Spirituality (god)for me is infinity so that’s where all my thanks goes. Infinite space that is haha. Some call it universe others god. I believe infinite space to be a touch above reality. I’ll call it god. Seems like a fitting name. I’m not lookin to reinvent the wheel. Just maybe some spokes.

Whatever works for others is fine with me. I'm not going to disparage spirituality or what such might do for any, and is probably preferable to some religious beliefs if this too doesn't cause conflicts between peoples.
Yeah my spirituality has nothing to do with right and wrong so no conflict would be had.

I wish more realized this. This one hospital chaplain went to embarassingly stretched out lengths to try to make it sound like I'm spiritual. No joke, she said LARPing is how I'm spiritual. This one hospital asks for your religious affiliation, and for some reason, even after you've corrected them that you have none they'll leave it as unknown.

I'm afraid I just don't get spirituality, especially when personality, character, beliefs, and all the rest can cope with most situations, such that spirituality is more seen as an add-on - perhaps to simply flavour life - like condiments do. o_O
Spirituality is about recognizing the mystery of existence and understanding it. As far as gods concerned, he’s awesome to me. God =universe (infinity)

I wish more realized they don’t have to abandon spirituality cuz of a bad encounter with a certain religion.

No issues with this, given that I do recognise such, and no doubt I do have similar experiences to the religious but I just don't ascribe spirituality to these. Mysteries I can accept - often as being unknowable - given I and most have this for so many things in life besides the more obvious spiritual or religious questions. Perhaps I'm a bit more realistic as to not expecting too much, even if we are in the 21st century and many want all the answers and NOW!

That part of me died a long time ago. It's not really an abandonment, it's just nit there.
