Donald Trump Jr. Expands on Trump's Dishonesty

Donald Trump Jr. joins father in bashing London mayor

For anyone who actually listened to the London Mayor's comments after the recent terrorist attacks, it was obvious that he wasn't saying that there wasn't anything to be alarmed about regarding terrorism in general or even terrorism in London or England.

Any reasonably intelligent individual can easily see that he was saying that there was no reason to be alarmed by the increased police presence including armed officers and uniformed officers.

Here was his actual statement:
“My message to Londoners and visitors to our great city is to be calm and vigilant today. You will see an increased police presence today, including armed officers and uniformed officers. There is no reason to be alarmed by this. We are the safest global city in the world. You saw last night as a consequence of our planning, our preparation, the rehearsals that take place, the swift response from the emergency services tackling the terrorists and also helping the injured.”

Trump, per his usual dishonest method, lied, incorrectly stating that the London Mayor claimed there was nothing to be alarmed about regarding the terrorist attack itself and the "7 dead and 48 wounded" therein.

Trump's Tweet:
“At least 7 dead and 48 wounded in terror attack, and Mayor of London says there is ‘no reason to be alarmed!’”

Donald Trump Jr. expanded on the lie saying this:
“Rather than the mayor of London attacking maybe he should do something about it,” Donald Trump Jr. said in an interview with ABC’s “Good Morning America.” “Maybe he should do something to fix the problem rather than just sit there and pretend there isn't one. I think that's an important message.”

And then to top off, he made a claim that is 100% false:
“Every time he puts something out there he gets criticized by the media all day every day by everyone else and guess what? Two weeks later he's proven to be right,” the president’s son said. “It happened again and we keep appeasing it and keep saying, ‘okay, it's going to be great. We're going to hold fast and we're going to keep calm and carry on.’ Maybe we have to keep calm and actually do something. And I think that's what he's trying to say because he's been proven right every time.”

Not one of Trump's claims have been found to be true thus far. Here are a few examples:
1. Obama illegally ordered Trump Towers to be wiretapped (no evidence that any illegal order was given to surveille Trump Towers).
2. 5 million people voted illegally for Hillary Clinton (no evidence of this kind of monumentally widespread voter fraud all in favor of Clinton).
3. "The NSA and FBI tell Congress that Russia did not influence electoral process (they said nothing of the sort)."

So, like father like son, Donald Trump Jr. seems to be living in an alternate reality where Trump's dishonest claims have been vindicated. Where is he getting this stuff from?

So the Mayor of London said to not be alarmed by the increased police presence. Should we be alarmed by the increased terrorist presence? Obviously not enough is being done to stop these attacks and the public has good reason to be alarmed.

Some choice. Danger by terrorists, or live safely in a police state.

Six different terrorist attacks were thwarted by British police in the last three months, but it's virtually impossible to stop all attacks. If we act like we're "alarmed" after an attack and overreact, then the terrorists win because that is exactly what they want.

Yes, and they want to kill people, which is exactly what they are doing. So I guess people should face death without being alarmed.

Not being alarmed doesn't mean not being alert. Terrorist want people to remain panicked which not only cripples individuals but unravels order. People neither think or react rationally when panicked. That's why the US started its "see something, say something," don't help them succeed. They want to destroy people's lives, by making them too fearful to live their lives and be too fearful to strike back if attacked.

Obviously there are different ways to be alarmed. One person may run around in circles and another may get a weapon for self defense. The terrorists themselves do NOT want you to be alarmed. They want you to think everything is under control. Then they pop up and start shooting.

No. The purpose of their terrorism is to create havoc remaining alert and calm while going about life undermines their ability to cripple.

And maybe the best way to remain alert and calm is to be alarmed by the possibility of what might happen. Being alarmed is not a bad thing. It can keep you alert and aware of what is going on around you. When someone says terrorism is nothing to be alarmed about, I have to disagree. Being alarmed may help you avoid future trouble. Of course you should also be calm but that can be part of being alarmed.

You should be more alarmed and concerned over other drivers while on the road. They are way more likely to kill you than a terrorist. Terrorists, of any type, want you afraid, alarmed, and scared. Their weapon is not bombs, guns, or other conventional weapons, but sowing the seeds of fear in hope they bloom into societal unrest, instability, and chaos. When we are afraid and alarmed, they win.

I preferred a continued state of being alert than alarmed.

Wow. Shadow Wolf says terrorists weapons are not bombs and guns. Please tell that to the innocent people who were killed by bombs and guns. I repeat, the terrorists do NOT want you alarmed because you might do something to interfere with their next attack.Sound the alarm and find them before they can attack again.

You should probably spend some time studying terrorism and terrorists. Killing isn't the primary goal. Scaring people and terrifying them into submission is. Killing people is merely a means to those ends (or sabotage, demolition, or other actions).
I repeat, the terrorists do NOT want you alarmed because you might do something to interfere with their next attack.
They want us alarmed because when we are scared crap like the PATRIOT act get ran through with little opposition. We got so scared and alarmed after 9/11 that know we have people groping us and taking nude photos of us at the airports. That is what they want. They disrupt out way of living, they win. They drag us into long drawn out and expensive wars, they win. We prime people for radicalization, they win. We go on living our lives, show we are not afraid and stand defiant, and do not pass freedom-repressing bills in the name of security, they lose.

Thank you Shadow Wolf. I respect your opinions. Please let me know when terrorists move into your neighborhood. They should feel very safe there becaused no one is alarmed enough to do anything about them.
