I notice that you manage to post thus in flagrant violation of the rules.
And yet, you continue unabated. Were I to do so, knuckles would bleed.
I really don't know how this place works.

Oh....it's just what we've become as a cultural norm! I'm trying not to sweat it! I'm letting the more irrational forms of political correctness drive me nuts, and it's just one of those things I need to learn to live with. Society has come a long way, all things considered.

I confess, I've gone a bit overboard in my condemning the double standards everywhere online and in real life.
I have faults and am the first to admit it.

That doesn't mean I don't have a valid point!

We needn't be perfect to criticize ideas or posts
Criticism will stand or fall on its own merit.

This was Charlemagne's thing....I said it was meant for deplorable white folks not ALL white folks he originally made the comment towards Taylor Swift's rendition to Earth, wind, and Fire's song which was deplorable to even do a cover on. There is a history of attributing watermelon to black people not mayonnaise if you're too stupid to realize then you're even more dumb than I thought which was a low bar.
I understand you're unseasoned chicken yourself and I'm sure you like bland music but this is what the man was talking about. Now if you think calling people water, melon is funny I have a bag of jokes about the great many Caucasians who love methamphetamine.

I didn't hear all the hullabaloo over Taylor Swift's song, but I was curious, and I found this article in which one of the original co-writers of the song from Earth, Wind, and Fire was somewhat amused by it all: https://www.billboard.com/articles/...ptember-cover-co-writer-allee-willis-comments

That seemed a bit much for Allee Willis, who wrote the song with EWF's late Maurice White and Al McKay.

"On the same day things happened in Syria, the FBI broke into Michael Cohen's office... the worst thing that happened as far as the Internet was concerned on this 449th day of all of our brains feeling like they've been hurled back and forth like squash balls, the top-trending topic on Twitter was the Taylor Swift cut of 'September,'" Willis said Friday night (May 18) during an entertaining and often humorous songs-and-stories performance at the City Theatre in her home town of Detroit. "I didn't really think she did a horrible job. Yes, I felt it was as lethargic as a drunk turtle dozing under a sunflower after ingesting a bottle of Valium, and I thought it had all the build of a one-story motel, but, I mean, the girl didn't kill anybody. She didn't run over your foot. She just cut a very calm and somewhat boring take of one of the peppiest, happiest, most popular songs in history."

But does that make Taylor Swift into a "deplorable"?

At least she didn't cover Aretha Franklin. Then it might turn out like this:

Also,
I can't watch the video on my phone.

Is it worth going to the library to watch?

Can someone share what is worth sharing about it?

Unseasoned chicken?
Bland music?

Been pondering that off and on today... still not sure what precisely is being implied...o_O I must be "too stupid"..."more dumb" as well...

Ah well! All is forgiven! Good night y'all! Better day for all of us tommorow I hope! This thread had been epic! :)

All white folk like bland music.
I have proof!
As for chicken.....I like it with a bunch'o garlic
cloves pushed under the skin before roasting.
Gang gai & kung pao are great too.

Oh, I hope this doesn't trigger anyone....
I like fried chicken with watermelon, greens cooked
in bacon grease, & corn on the cob with corn bread.

@Epic Beard Man
I remember you expressing desires for aggression upon @Stanyon for posting a pic of fried chicken, and then you call @Revoltingest "unseasoned chicken, dumb, stupid," who "likes bland music", and you joke about Caucasian meth-addicts all in the same post. You see the blatantly obvious double standard (after flippin over Stanyon's pick of fried chicken)?

I tell you this because I love you and want what's best for you, :) and it isn't healthy to have such double--standards, bitterness, resentment, and such errors in judgement. It's toxic for you and those who are around it.

You aren't the only one from the hood bro. Try being a white guy in some of the neighborhoods I've lived where most white people seem to try to avoid even driving through, let alone live.

I live in the ****iest part of my city where people get chocked out and mugged in broad daylight.

I've gone to purchase something and had my money taken, the door slammed in my face, and the guy drives off. I've been punched, tackled, choked, threatened with a broken jaw for speaking the truth about Muhammad, stabbed, and put in the hospital multiple times.

I have neighbors blasting hip-hop in the early AM hours, pounding on the walls, knocking on my door, trying to sell me drugs, inviting themselves into my room at 2:00 am, opening the fridge and taking my food, begging for change, no respect for my boundaries or nothing.

I know what it's like to be a minority and discriminated against. I listen to people talk about my heritage like we're nothing but Nazis, hillbillies, and bloodthirsty monsters on a power trip, with a history of lynchings, genocide, death camps, and atrocities.

It's not easy! Just saying, you aren't the only persecuted minority at RF who is discriminated against! So please, cease with the double-standards, and people won't have a problem with you!

God bless you, and I wish you the best!
