Those who voted against an evil winner
don't deserve to suffer because of it.
BTW, I plan to vote for Harris, despite her
various troubling traits. But I won't post
this in my thread that questions voting
for her....because that would lessen the
hostility I receive for challenging her.
It makes for livelier discussion.

It is all about owning it and not getting upset if someone tests your resolve, with some doubt, like Vance did. Over reacting is not owning it and therefore the choice was not exactly their own. This hints of conformity, peer pressure that gave community and safety in numbers, but not the satisfaction promised. They were taught to abort and hate cavemen men, and now the ways, that they were told could protect them, have become a prison that isolates them from their deepest heart; maternal instinct.
The irony is Vance said this once. It is Fake news that is the one throwing salt on raw wounds, over and over and over. Those who feel the wound again and again, do not even notice, who is being sadist. Maybe fake news pressured their unsatisfied choice via similar repetition.
Vance has said many loony things.
And some cromulent things, eg, Trump is "America's Hitler".
Should they all be excused & ignored for some ad hoc reason?

Well the "you" in that sentence is the collective you (English is so imprecise sometimes.) You (singular you) might feel that it is unfair that you (singular) are forced to live with what the collective does. But that is politics. That is life.
And more than just point about the collective responsibility, I think the point is about responsibility for more than just one election. You (collective you) are responsible for more than just the outcome of one election, you (collective) are responsible for picking the candidates. You (collective) are responsible for the election system. You (collective) are responsible for the culture. You (collective) are responsible for educating the voters, for their entire lives.
So yes, I think that is what Jefferson understood, and intended with his statement. “The government you elect is the government you deserve.”

It seems they're happy to continue to bully phantoms of their own minds rather than respond to what you're really saying. I find it bizarre that they're trying to paint you as some extremist who hates Democrats. I haven't seen that from you. Have I missed some posts? It's like they're responding to the wrong person. Exactly. I only voted Republican once amd that was just my first time voting. I've voted for more Libertarians than I have Republicans. Amd the MAGA Republican Party? America itself as a whole, the People ourselves have never endorsed Trump. We The People have twice said no to him. I think that makes it clear we don't deserve it.

The left is pro-choice. You're anti-choice. You want to choose for women according to how others have told you some unseen god want you to.
What's the big deal? Christians imposing that on them. Keep your religion at your dinner table and church.
Maybe people just don't want to raise children. I didn't. My wife didn't.
I want them to have the freedom to choose.
How do I own that - I mean as a dog man with a wife and no rug rats?
