Dream within a dream.

You didn't answer my question. Did you HEAR or SEE the date in the dream?

Apols my friend, I did answer your question by not answering your question ! All I remember is being told the date of concern. I will meditate on this question.

More later.

I have friends who were badly damaged by the Catholic cult, and then there are the priests who abuse young children. They are protected by the pope ! There are 55 centers worldwide for priests to hide !

I am not a Buddhist in the sense of reading Buddhist texts etc. My connection to the Buddhist way is my liking reincarnation. I like the Sufi Way and the poetry of Rumi. Taoism fits in nicely with how I flow ! Also I don't feel the need to compete, I simply flow as best as I can.

I had some crazy dreams, but can only remember vague parts. I know why they were so confusing - I am trying to decide where to go on my path. So having wacky dreams is no surprise !

Well I have good and not so good news !

The not so good is I still have difficulty fully remembering them !!!
Ah well, at least its a start.

You are onto something, we may just use different terms because we are also so many different genres.

For me, I often have very vivid, very colorful dreams - and it seems to me they are a look into worlds that are not make believe but I may also be mingling some mundane "waves" into the "picture" but yet some are so strong it is real in it's own terms.

Including:

* seeing future, worldy, events

* messages from Gods, Powers, Angels, Demons, animals, Spirits, Worlds, other humans, etc..

* alt-worlds

* "playing" with non-human forces "just because"

* hearing songs/music - which can then later be approximated via guitar and verse

* going on "dream adventures"

* working out "problems" or "solutions", sometimes calling to be an intervention that does not even involve myself but someone else or others - this can include "tricksterism" to "tilt" another or a situation to "the better" but spelled out "how to do it" via a dream

* becoming another form in the dream state including a "personality"

I also like your title - a dream within a dream... and my wife says I am constantly "speaking to others or another" when dreaming outloud at voice-conversation but short sentences pause words pause then short but seems disconnected but also in a mood.

ShivaFan, thanks for your contribution, very much appreciated. i would like to add that the dreamworld of sleep is, or at least it appears so, as real as this waking realm.

I am unable to recall my dreams, but I do know I am dreaming.

I have not, as far as I am aware been in contact with any higher evolved beings. I wish I could remember them ! Maybe soon I will.

Peace.

I will try a "calling" tonight. I am about to go to bed - a bit late now, but I was monkeying around on RF, another forum which was political, checking my investment accounts, had a glass of milk and ate two candies made from nuts and sugar from a box of such given as a gift to me from someone who arrived back from the United Arab Emirates, and watched an upsetting video on youtube... why say what I was just doing? ... the reason is to see if any of this activity will influence or overshadow my "dream calling experiment".

And what "dream calling"? Well, I am about to go to sleep and will ask "Which God will come in my Dream?" thus INVOKING one to enter my dream world.

Then I will report back on the results of tonight's dream world.

Result of the dream world "experiment".

Location of dream: Fort Point (under the Golden Gate Bridge), San Francisco, California

fortpoint1.jpg

Time of day: It was night time and foggy, very cold

Sequence of events in the dream:

First of all, even though the sequence of events in the dream seem a bit complicated, they all happened in VERY FAST ORDER, two basic segments each only lasting no more than a minute, even less.

Funny, in one way it was right out of one of those ghost scenes in a movie though broken into two short segments.

In the dream I found myself first observing from the road in front of the Fort shown in the picture above just as you enter the "parking lot" square. A Devi must have arose out of the water from near this square and She resembled wearing the attire as shown in the graphic below of Ganga Maa but the Devi in the dream never said Her name.

She also had a blue head covering similar as shown in the graphic, not a sari, but the head covering was "pinned" further back on the head and there was no head band as shown, no Saiva mark on Her head as shown, in fact I did not see any headmark at all.

This Devi was holding what first looked like a rod in Her RIGHT HAND that later I realize is a trident (pic below shows trident but held in left hand in that graphic) and a very small "bowl" in Her left hand.

She came over the edge of the water barrier suddenly - I did not see any crocodile vahana normally associated with Ganga. She just sort of lifted over this barrier but I only assume She came from the water even though I didn't see Her actually raise head first from the water. She iust came flying over the edge of the barrier from the water side.

She then quickly "floated" and moved without feet stepping, across the "square" - Her feet were not moving at all. She was just "floating" at a fast speed and in the misty fog She had a white halo all aroind Her body extending about two feet from every portion of Her body but was more brighter around Her lower ankle area instead of head. In the misty fog the dream scene was sort of spooky and unexpected.

She entered the Fort quickly, literally it was no more than 2 or 3 seconds, She was moving fast.

But I didn't see Her go through any door to enter the Fort, I assume She must have went right through one of the walls of the Fort, but in the dream after She zips across the square and right "into the Fort", next in the dream I was also suddenly in the Fort myself in a room.

There were two other people in the cold, rather large, room besides myself - both dressed in white shirts and funny little caps, the shirts had black markings on them and I instantly thought they were in prisoner garb but that is what I thought for a split second and there was no time or anything to confirm this idea. I was still in my pajamas I wore when I went to bed, but oddly was wearing my heavy green-gray REI jacket over my pajamas which I didn't wear when I went to bed and I had my winter slippers on which are lined to keep the feet warm. The two men were sleeping on bunks, one was on a top bunk above an empty one, the other on one on the floor - I wasn't looking towards these bunks but for a second to look when due to distraction from the noise they made, they were both rising from their bunks in a quick set of circumstances noisily ...

... the Devi was in the North side of the room facing me and the two men, the halo very visible in the dark room lighting the room up like a lantern, suddenly becoming a bit brighter thus I assume the light had awoken the other two men who were startled in state and when I briefly turned to look at them they were raising their right arms just to the eye brow level as if trying to block the light to get a clearer look at the Devi - one knocked a cup to the floor, I didn't see the cup fly but heard it hit and tumble on the floor as if bouncing on stone not wood, both men rising up obviously startled and shocked even though I didn't even look at them until the noise of shuffle sounds they made, I only looked at them for just a second due to the noise.

The light from Her halo then got even a bit more brighter but Her face could be seen. She had very pale facial skin tone like a caucasian, heavy black eye liner, dark black hair that had a bit of "twist"" in some parts of the hair rather than only straight, She smiled a bit at the edges of her lips and teeth could be seen slightly and She started to lift up her trident a bit, not pointing it at us, just lifting it a bit higher towards the roof direction. She only had two arms. She then got slightly brighter and the dream ended just as a fourth man had rushed in through a door who was dressed like a policeman or something and no one paid him much attention, at the same second prior to this fourth character rushing in one of the other men was just giving out a loud explanation as if scared or shocked but it wasn't a word but more of a "hey!" shout. The dream ended abruptly just as I turned my head back to Her direction. The Devi in the dream never said anything. It was actually a bit frightening.

The entire dream must have been longer but seemed to be only a minute, maybe less, for these sequence of events to happen. It all happened very fast.

I am guessing the Devi is "Ganga" but She never said anything in the dream which as said moved very fast in short order of things and honestly this is only a feeling but no proof the dream was of Ganga at all. She was like the Ganga in the picture but also different. But in the dream She was without question a Hindu Devi and in Indian garb. Now since the goal WAS to dream of a Hindu God, this might have been my own mind giving me what I want.

I should note, I keep such a small Ganga poster in my house, not sure if this influenced my dream but I was not thinking of this poster at all before sleeping nor even looked at it. But who knows, maybe I just put that poster image into my dream. I have no idea why Fort Point, I haven't been there in more than two or three years. Not sure why the dream was at night other than I was dreaming after going to bed at night, and it was cold last night.

Shivafan, thank you for your contribution, I will read them in a short while. I am beingdistracted by my pain levels. Just waiting for my pain meds to kick in !

I have remembered a dream ! It involved two sasquatch type beings, and both were friendly. Strange thing is I have a connection with such beings ! When I was around 5 years old I was abducted by beings resembling these huge and intelligent creatures.

I am dreaming a lot but remembering little !

Any tips on dream recall ?

Do we live in two intertwining dream worlds ? Some view the physical realm as the 'real' world and the sleeping(dream) realm as the lesser of the two.

My current opinion is that both realms are important. I often look forward to my rest periods and to see what unfolds. But the strange thing is I am not remembering my dreams, although of late I have began to recall bits and pieces of my dream experience.

I do need to be present when I leave my bed because I am guilty of sleepwalking my way through my waking hours. If I do this then I think I will remember more from my sleeping dream world.

A final few words on the content of my sleeping dream world is that my dreams tend to be boring ! My wife has amazingly vivid and exciting dreams where she encounters aliens, vampires and other worldly beings ! I often have to wake her up because she is in distress, I do this gently and am well practised at waking her up safely.

i look forward to hearing from you and maybe we can make this a lively thread !

Blessings to you all.

PS A few years ago I dreamt of being abducted by what appeared to be an alien type craft, but when I became more aware of the dream I found myself in a military type hospital setting. This could have been a MILABS - Military Abductions.

Other keywords are screen dream and lucid dreams.

Further question: Have you dreamt of your departed loved ones ? Includes pets.
Dreams are when your soul goes traveling into other realms.. But most of the time it is sort of a way that the spirit communicates with us. To help guide us. Like i have dreams that are more like premonitions. Like for an instance, I had a dream about an altercation that I had in this dream, and then awoken from it. And as days had went by, a certain altercation that I had ran into later on. During this altercation, that I had a Deja vue feeling that I had went through this before. But I had kept on pressing it to find out when did this ever had happened before in order for me to have this feeling of Deja vue. Then all of a sudden, I had remembered the dream that I had forgotten about, that the happenings that were in the dream was the same as the altercation that I had went through on that day. And so, dreams that I believes is that the spirits are warning us through dreams, but by making us to live through it first through this dream world before it has happen to us in the natural. They doesn't has vocal cords and so they uses our memories of images of what we has seen or heard in our lives to make sentences to explain to us. That is why in dreams, that at times, when someone is communicating with you, that they sounds different from someone that you know of.

Thanks for your post. I tend to agree with you that dreams are an opportunity for contact with those who have passed over to spirit. My father has been in my dreams, as has my mother and two of our dogs.

I have had a few dreams which predicted the scores of certain football matches !

I was in a coma for two weeks in 2004 but remember nothing !
Good thing I can remember my NDE :)

Well, I had some good dreams, best of which had me trying to get the power lead for my laptop ! Thats how powerful it was ! My wife was shocked to see me and returned me back to bed. So there you have it folks, nothing earth shattering but a dream I will remember for a few years for its comedy.
