e-cigarette Blows Up in Man's Face

Been a smoker of 5 years because of vaping I have fully quit. It most likely has saved my life.

Now as for safety I think the ones that explode are of a very few amount and done by cheap untrustworthy brands.

The trustworthy studies that are out have shown short term effects to be little to nothing (long term looking very promising). Also 2nd hand effects are null as well.

Have any of you stood in front of a fog machine at a concert? Cause it is the same chemical (e-juice) we use.

Most stuff coming out to the mainstream public have very untrustworthy and bad testing done and get a very unlikely result in a real life scenario.

I will try to find the recent and trustworthy, un-biased paper I had read on the effects and post the link in a few minutes.

And if proof is needed that I vape 0 nicotine here is the closest I can get unless you want time and date included. *laughs* hope no one is that picky.

Thank you :)

Also some good read, I got more papers if needed. http://www.harmreductionjournal.com/content/10/1/19 (starts at page 3 I believe.)
The alleged benefits of nicotine seem overstated... and more anecdotal than scientific. Nicotine addiction causes deficits in attention and mood, manifested by the distracting and distressing thought "I want/need more nicotine." Another hit of nicotine temporarily quells the craving. This superficially gives the appearance of improving attention and mood/stress. Until the next craving.

The article states "Nicotine has beneficial effects on attention, concentration, and mood in many smokers; these individuals may be depending on nicotine as a means of self-medication"

That's kinda like saying anorexia is an effective fitness program. Addiction is a disorder, not a health-maintenance routine.

That being said, I don't disgaree that vaping is a less harmful alternative for the nicotine addict who refuses to quit or is resigned to being unable to do so.

Right understandable and well thought out on the nicotine statement as I agree with you. My case and point was more on vaping in general. I agree with more long term studies will need to be done but as of right now from the tests and research papers I have read and reviewed, along their testing methods, I think and feel strongly the long term outlook is going to be acceptable.

Also I am glad to hear you say that that's the only goal I came here today with is to respectfully and politely remind the public of the ultimate goal of helping people quick smoking and save lives of many. Vaping is an extreme lesser evil of cigarettes and I personally would love to see someone vaping instead of smoking.

I am not the most scientific or the best forum speaker, nor the brightest crayon in the box. I know that, I just hope I made some sense. :)

You must have been a smoker at one point, because this is incredibly accurate and corroborates with my experiences smoking and that of others.

Actually, I've never smoked. There are many smokers (both current and former) in my life, and I've done some reading on nicotine addiction.

Ah, that's surprising. But with all the smokers, I'm sure you heard all sorts of stuff like this before. I definitely agree with the sentiment.
