I always root for the Netherlands. They always start out outstandingly, but it's been a while since they nailed it.
Anyway I'm also rooting for great football, I'll be watching Spain, Germany, and Italy as well.

Germany to win.

Will kill a puppy if Spain win again, can't stand those fairies.

Ireland and croatia are my dark horses.

Your's truely to fail to make it out of the group :(

I reckon Netherlands have a good chance, It'll be interesting to see how well Italy play though.

I reckon Germany will win too. I think it's because of how they did at the world cup 2 years ago, a bunch of young players exceeding expectation who will now be stronger than before.

I reckon Spain will make the final and lose :D.

I reckon Croatia are the dark horses for the competition. Italy will need to play well to survive the group.

Yours truly as in England? I reckon we'll make it out of the group but whether we'll make the semi's is another thing

Forgot I took out my THFC signature, but yes England. With no defenders left walking its going to be interesting. The midfield politics always bemuse me.

How the hell are Andy Carroll and Jermaine Defoe in when Grant Holt doesn't get selected?

It was on fire when I laid down on it.

I lived in Germany when they won the World Cup in 1990. I have never seen a nation party like those Germans did - for days on end. It was amazing - and hilarious - and eventually very tiring. They drove up and down the streets all night every night for about three nights, drinking (yes, and driving), waving flags, and singing, "Ole, Ole, Ole, Ole!" at the top of their lungs.

Shops shut down, people didn't work - it was wild. Those people are insane.

true, although we should still have enough good defenders to give France a game

and yeah I thought Carroll was an interesting pick. Defoe is understandable given his England record. I'm very surprised that Crouch wasn't picked though

I'm supporting ABE :)

who? xD

Italy have always been my personal favorites. I hope they do better than they did in their last championship outing in the World Cup 2010; their performance there was downright horrid.

They should make it out of the group this time. As long as they actually show up :p

Here's hoping that they do (unless they're going to perform like they did in the World Cup -- then it's better if they don't :p).

Yeah. I haven't looked at their recent form but they did quite well in the qualification group. Croatia are my favourites to upset them (I've not got high hopes for Ireland)

I'm not really familiar with some teams (such as Ireland and Poland, for example), but overall:

Poland 0 - 0 Greece
Russia 1 - 2 Czech Republic

Holland 3 - 0 Denmark
Germany 1 - 1 Portugal

Spain 2 - 0 Italy
Ireland 0 - 1 Croatia

England 1 - 0 France
Sweden 2 - 0 Ukraine

On another note, I'm really excited about the upcoming matches! :D

So far I'm liking the Spain vs. Italy match. Cassano and Silva had serious chances to score there, too.
