Well maybe they should take advantage of the art of the deal. Trump did if I recall, offer all those so-called immigrants to be released and sent to all those sanctuary cities. I'm sure conditions will be much better there given the Democrats socialists know how to handle it.

You posted the article here. Given your commentary and your tone it seems clear that you support the articles opinion that it is politically incorrect to use the words "concentration camp" to refer to something short of Nazi death camps or at least nazi labor camps.

There is nothing wrong with such critical thinking, but you should be aware that this is akin to the very same postmodernist pc thought that people rally against.

Unfortunately, our stupid monkey brains are wired to think in zero sum ways. Evolutionarily it makes sense, "if they get MORE fruit, I get LESS fruit, therefore I must keep ALL the fruit for myself!", but unfortunately we still instinctively follow the same thought pattern "if they get MORE recognition of their suffering, I get LESS recognition of my suffering, therefore I must keep ALL the recognition of my suffering for myself!"

It doesn't make sense when you examine your thoughts critically, but of course, not many people do that.

People don't realize that "concentration camp" was a euphemism that the Nazis started using when the Allies accused them of running Death Camps. It is more of a disservice to call the Nazi death camps, concentration camps because that is exactly what the Nazis wanted.

This is the problem. You can’t justify anything simply by saying it is not as bad as the Holocaust. That is not what is happening in the U.S. today. But shouldn’t you aspire to more than just being a little bit better than Hitler?

What is happening is horrific. And history will remember these years in U.S. history as a low point.

Yeah she could really learn something from it. Hell , I'd even go if invited. The guy is like 93 so it's a once-in-a-lifetime experience that comes from somebody who actually was there and knows the difference between concentration and detention/holding camps.

Did you see AOCs pictures by an empty gate pretending there's children on the other side? Then she puts her hand on her forehead like she's witnessing shocking scene. One photo had an empty lot with a few border patrol vehicles in it.

People should be more concerned about the fact that you have concentration camps and about the horrible living conditions of those incarcerated in then than the fact that AOC correctly called them concentration camps.

They're not concentration camps if detainees are guaranteed to be let out after three weeks and if they haven't been sent there as part of a criminal sentence. The conditions in the detainment camps are awful, sure, but that's because they're far over capacity and haven't been receiving funding. AOC cheered when the Wayfair workers announced a strike. Because apparently she thinks that the people in these camps shouldn't be receiving beds to sleep on.

Have you ever actually been to a concentration camp? Because I have. I've been to Dachau and seen the pictures and testimonies of how people there were treated. And it's not even close to how we're dealing with the detainees. We're trying our best with far too limited resources.
