EVERYONE PLEASE WEIGH IN: If what you believed was wrong, would you want to know?

I totally would want to know, ignorance is not bliss.

Its impossible for everything one believes to be wrong. Much that is of belief is unprovable and undisprovable.

Belief is, therefore, relatively safe from doubt...except when it becomes literalistic. Then it is easy to disprove if the individual is capable of having a consistent epistemological standard.

Oh definitely and with all things as well I need to be explained properly with evidence or supporting texts to justify the reason. Like for religious discussions many different interpretations can be thrown around, however, one thing that can be kept as a standard of legitimacy and not stray from the original meaning would be through the Scriptures from God.
But yeah I would agree, I would rather be proven wrong then to live in a lie because of stubbornness and arrogance. But also when approaching to prove someone wrong it should be as well for the intention of better them as well rather than wanting to have the pride of pushing my own opinion.

I shouldn't have someone follow what is right because it's what I believe and know but rather it will better improve the life of the one I'm speaking to.

Sorry for the ramble but thanks for the topic, much appreciated!

Both knowing and not knowing are bliss. When you know it there is no doubt. When you do not know it, then also there is no doubt. :)
