Evidence for God's existence

The way I see it, there is plenty of evidence for the existence of gods as conceptions, and some of those are beautiful indeed.

With the proper cautions and environments, those can be superb practice tools as well.

Any speculations about whether they "truly exist" is IMO a serious mistake of scope, though. Wanting to find "evidence for the existence of God" implies a considerable degree of confusion about what a deity is.

Well, if a deity truly exists He should be able to prove Himself. I believe mine has proved it to me by communicating with me spiritually and answering my prayers.

Is it common sense?
There are over a billion Muslims who pray 5 times a day and are certain that God doesn't want them to embrace Christianity or the Bible... They are very devout and believe that they possess the truth.

If they are mistaken, what are God's reasons for not telling them?

Do you think they lack common sense?
Not at all... if you become a Christian, they will kill you, disown you, decapitate you etc. Common sense many times means, "I think I will stay a Muslim"

Sorry God for calling you a prick, you do make me sick, but you've also given me many graces.... For this I thank you.

Please give me the grace to love and fear and respect God. Save me from my sins and fallen nature, in Jesus name.

Well, if a deity truly exists He should be able to prove Himself.

Should it? Would it even want to?

There are certainly many believers that would like to think so. But from where I stand it does not look very likely at all, among other reasons because it is difficult to imagine a positive result from that.

If you say so.

1) Hosea 4:6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: (lack of knowledge)
2) because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee (rejected knowledge)
3) James 16 But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. 7For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord.8 A double minded man is unstable in all his ways. (double mindedness)
4) Mark 11:25 And when you pray, forgive (unforgivenss or bitterness)
5) Matt 13:58 And he did not many mighty works there because of their unbelief.(unbelief)

There are more... but suffice to say that there are reasons.

Let's say that Renee conformed to all that was outlined above. Why did she die while the others lived?

If you say so.

I do say so. Of course I can't prove it physically because it is spiritual. Spiritual is spiritual and physical is physical.

You can construct a situation (in your own perspective)...

But it still boils down to...
1)Believers believe
2) unbelievers rationalize.

In as much as I am not God and can't judge Renee, I don't have all the reasons.

But I have listed "some" reasons and know that there are still others.

and just think, God's obvious presence, He is always there. There is no place where he is not. just beyond human perception.

Blind obedience is a wonderful thing. Thou shalt not kill, but do slaughter those philistines, because God in his infinite omnipotence, wants humans to decide human fate. and just remember those who live by the sword shall die by the sword.

Nothing was constructed. Renee was a real person.

Okay, but you still haven't told me why you believe she died and the others did not.

I didn't ask you to.

But I have listed "some" reasons and know that there are still others.

None of those applied. What are the others?

:coldsweat: are you sure? They sincerely believe you are the one who is blind... I don't know how to go about Discerning who's right and who's wrong. There are so many religions in this world, and so many people who genuinely seek the truth that come to a different conclusion than you, that I humbly don't feel smart enough to choose the right one.:disappointed:
To me there is no one right choice (Blind Men and the Elephant). Or maybe a better way of stating it is there is no universal right choice for all people. So if you believe that as I do, the choice is really what you believe in your heart of hearts is represents your best understanding of the truth and follow that. If you are not in a position to make that judgement, I'd suggest keep studying.

Here is evidence that every living, breathing soul can relate to; I read this just this morning in one of my devotionals.
Our hearts beats 72 times a minute, 100,000 times a day, 3,600,000 times a year. And, if I live what would be considered a “normal lifespan,” it will beat 2.5 billion times. It only weighs about 11 ounces yet will pump about 2,000 gallons of blood through 60,000 miles of blood vessels each day. Rather amazing, to say the least.
AND, the one true God that created each of us sustains each pumping heart for every beat. Amazing. If He doesn't exist, our hearts would not beat.

How do you know that these didn't apply?

and can you please give me the rest of the information other than "she prayed and died"?

And you did ask.

But regardles... I am extremely sorry for the loss.

He does forgive... Job didn't quite understand either but came to the conclussion that regardless, God knew more than he did. :D

Blessings to you! And may peace fill your heart.

But you only gave 'they prayed and lived'. What other information is required? Why is living after prayer evidence *for* God, but dying after prayer not evidence *against* God? Why is not praying and living not evidence *against* God?

The point is that you ignore any counter evidence and focus on the cases that support your viewpoint. The *norm* is that some people spontaneously remit and others do not. Belief and prayer have *nothing* to do with outcomes. To have evidence in favor of God, you need for prayer to be a *consistent* benefit for an identifiable population. That doesn't happen.

Prove that without a God, our hearts would not beat. The evidence suggests otherwise: that no divine intervention is required for hearts to beat.

Profound Realization

What evidence do you have that God exists? You can share your personal testimony of answered prayers or you can say God left signs in nature or say whatever you feel like saying in response to this op.

I'm just frustrated with God that so many people swear he doesn't provide them evidence of his existence.

I was recently asked to provide evidence of God's existence... I should be able to. After all, Jesus said his followers would do the works that he does and Greater Works.

Yet no one is doing those works.

Jesus said the faith of a mustard seed can move mountains. Not a single mountain is budging, so I assume nobody has the faith of a mustard seed.

I personally think God is a prick for refusing to provide evidence that he really cares about people or loves them. Then he leaves us with a Bible that contradicts itself and has many verses that command people to do the opposite of what other versus commanded... And he leaves us with prophetic visions that lead people astray because they're full of symbolism that is difficult to interpret.

The behavior of God is responsible for atheism, heresy, confusion, and division. He insists that people live by faith, and declares that he loves us so much, while at the same time refusing to do something so little as give some clear instruction or leave the skeptics some evidence.

Then he threatens to toss people into a lake of fire For Eternity for an infraction so small as not believing in him! Please excuse me while I vomit... Sometimes Yahweh makes me sick!View attachment 19103

I think that your problem is with human nature and a book. Attributing "God's" nature/character to a book, whereas there are plenty of things "written" inside of you to go off of.

I think that whoever is asking you for evidence is dishonest, and is in control of you for any attempt at responding.

Because there is an adversary and there is free will.

I don't agree (within the context of Christian scriptures).

I gave four Biblical reason of why and there are more.

Understand why you would present the issue, I'm just saying that the issue is explained within the Christian faith.
