Evolution of what?

Heyo

Veteran Member
You have to wonder how many times it has to be explained that evolution doesn't care how life started.
... or any other PRATT.
It's always the same lies and misconceptions. You refute one and they come up with the next and the next and the next. And when they are through they have forgotten that every point was refuted and start over again.

Yes. Linnaeus (who was a creationist) classified us as primates in 1758, 101 years before the publication of The Origin of Species.

Why do you refer to humans as 'they'? Are you not yourself a human?
Allow me please to rephrase the question, and hopefully you can answer the question: are humans apes?

Is this an accurate summary of this thread thus far:

That is exactly what they claim.
Then they went off into left field about the details they are so sorely lacking when demanding details about evolution.
I really think you misunderstand my viewpoint. Some here believe in God (so they say) and also evolution. Probably better if you ask them how they intertwine the two.

Perhaps it is because, unlike creationists, they do not claim that God is a liar. When I was a Christian I did not think that God could be a liar so I did not read the myths of Genesis literally.

Not sure what you mean by magic poofing. No need to explain in detail because I will likely only get attacked in a nice way maybe? (But that's ok...take care...)

What's the alternative, magic poofing?
Why would it be magic poofing? And again -- some here that believe in the theory of evolution do declare that humans are apes. So? Nothing to it. (or no problem, right?) According to you, humans are apes, right? But the better question is why would creation be thought of by you as possibly magic poofing?

I don't understand why it's so hard to understand that accumulated small changes (adaptations) can accumulate into big changes.
This seems a pretty simple concept.
I can understand why some believe that or accept the premise. However, while a Tiktaalik was discovered, this does not mean that fish eventually evolved to mammals and then humans.

The theory of evolution does no "declare" it. But the evidence is abundantly clear. We are apes. There is no rational doubt about it.

But it is evidence for that occurring.

What is odd is that you believe in a concept that the evidence has refuted and yet you act as if others are being unreasonable.

Yet here you are demanding details about evolution.
Your hypocrisy is not the least bit surprising.
I'm not demanding details about evolution. You can choose to give them or not. You are constantly putting down the idea that there is a primal force, a supreme being that causes growth, aren't you?
