Men, Women Who Left Homosexuality, Transgenderism to Rally at DC's 'Freedom March'

By BRANDON SHOWALTER Apr 28, 2018 | 4:55 PM

Freedom March, a worship service featuring former LBGT individuals sharing their stories to occur in Washington, D.C. on May 5, 2018.

Former transgender, bisexual, lesbian and gay men and women, including an Orlando Pulse nightclub shooting survivor, will be gathering in the nation's capital for a worship event next weekend to proclaim how Jesus Christ liberated them.

Do they have something similar for ex Christians?

The obvious reason is because these protestors are implying that freedom only comes when one drops the 'yoke' of the LGBT lifestyle. Which is obnoxious and absurd.

The article takes about Christian reconciling with folks they hurt.

"When anyone spews hate toward another person they are clearly not operating according to the Holy Spirit," Mehl said. "It is extremely sad when this happens and I hope that [Christians] would be convicted of their sin and repent and reconcile with those they hurt."

But yes, these people have the freedom to repress their natural urges just as a priest or monk can. But it is the freedom to live in self imposed exile, which is no freedom at all...

Sure, I've repressed my natural urges before, lust, greed, anger, hate, fear, etc... These days though there is little for me to repress.

Freedom to live as you choose is no freedom?

I think freedom from control by emotions/urges is more "free". However everyone seems to have their own idea of what freedom is.

What were they liberated from exactly?
I'm curious about that as well. Myself, becoming an apostate was a much needed remedy to the toxic and highly poisonous self-hatred I was taught as a Christian. Liberation came when I realized no loving father would want their child to live a life of misery, that I don't need Jesus to forgive me of the burdens he placed upon me, and evicted the holy ghost from my heart.

From sin, come mon...

I was liberated from sin by becoming an atheist.

I don't see where in the Bible is says sin is bound to a specific group of people.

I asked, though, what do LGB need to be liberated from. You mentioned sin. Everyone ideally needs to be rid of sin. Why is LGB singled out when all have sinned?

Is there a sin specific only to the LGB community?

I'd imagine anytime you treat another person indecently because of lust, greed, anger it is a sin. Specifics are not important, just the evil in one's own heart. That is between the individual and God. No one could possibly know the depth of that evil except the individual and God. I don't see where sexual preference falls under this any more than any other action one might from the wrong motivations.

Thats for anyone. How would it be LGB specific?

Repressing things like anger, hatred, and fear are absolutely nothing at all like repressing your very self when you are LBGT. Not even the same ball park.

Neither would I, but you said "choose preference", not "choose relationship".

Right, folks should be free to choose according to their preference don't you think?
How do you prefer a sexual orientation or gender identity over another?

Seems to be a natural inclination for most folks. Hetrosexual usually perfer other hetrosexuals etc... Though some people seem more fluid in their preferences.

I don't assume to know what is in other people heads. How do you know this is what is happening to these folks?

I repress anger almost daily. But at the end of the day I feel fine.
When I was repressing and denying I'm trans and have attractions towards men, I was morbidly depressed, often cried myself to sleep, and was suicidal and longing for death. Having vivid nightmares of going to Hell (to the point I could even feel my flesh burning) were also common.
