Exxon CEO Tillerson emerges as frontrunner for Secretary of State

Could you give a source on Tillerson being a huge donor to Trump? I read he donated to Jeb Bush back during the primaries, I was not aware of him being a 'huge donor' to Trump.

There is a risk with any cabinet appointment of wanting to benefit themselves, that comes with the territory of appointing human beings, but otherwise I don't see some special unique risk with Trump's cabinet in particular.

You are right. It wasn't Tillerson. It was 6 other cabinet appointees. My mistake.

Six donors that Trump appointed gave almost $12 million with their families to back his campaign and the party

As for risk with Tillerson in particular, we will have to see. Just the fact of his background, at the very least, tells us where his loyalties will lie. Between his appointment and Pruits, we might be seeing the end of the EPA.

Of course. But remember Cheney? He wasn't working at Halliburton when he was VP either, but Halliburton certainly thrived while he was in office.
Do you have any proof that Halliburton would not have made money during that time period if Cheney was not VP, or just speculation?

but I don't see him as a warmonger.
I thought he made it rather apparent he desires to continue bombing the hell out of the Middle East.
It is as many said prior to the election. He wasn't stupid, or populist. He was an actor playing a roll.
If that is the case, he really needs to quit embarrassing himself. He needs to admit he sunk in the popular election rather than claiming he rightly won it, and that it is the CIA--not the Democrats--saying the Russians helped him with the election.
