I never argued that there is anything necessarily wrong with it.
Which will mean that what Wikipedia said is not correct, and there is no harm in heeding to the advice of the wise if one does not find any problem with it. That is exactly what Buddha meant. :)

".. these things are praised by the wise; undertaken and observed, these things lead to benefit and happiness," enter on and abide in them." Check for yourself. Buddha is not hiding anything from you.
