Faith in Christ is Completely Logical

Robert.Evans

Evolution was proven more than a century ago Robert. If you want to have a serious debate about that you need a time machine to go back to 1850.
Evolution is defined in biology as changes in allele frequency over time - and those allele frequency changes are observable.
I wasn't the one that said that was I. Go ask the scientist who says it is not proven

This is again bull! I was RAISED Christian. It was after I actually started studying the Bible, as opposed to "reading" it, that I came to the conclusion that it is written by man. I also took Comparative Religion.

I can in no way believe God (if there is one,) is the evil, murdering, patriarch law making, being, put forward in the Bible. Men are the ones whom think they need to OWN women, and keep concubines (sex slaves.) Men are the ones wanting to be able to RAPE prisoners of war. Men are the ones using God as an excuse to make war in a land grab. The Bible and its laws are written by men. The "Heroes" of the Bible commit genocide against their own people over and over, because they refuse the new One God, or turn back to their old Gods. They kidnap and rape their own women. There is no real God in this book. It needs an "Explicit Sex and Violence" warning.

Sounds like you just have a problem with men not God..

Why do you think so? Because "it's just a theory"?
Advancements in genetic studies prove that it's actually a fact.'How about that?
When did I say that. To repeat:
I wasn't the one that said that was I. Go ask the scientist who says it is not proven... Sapiens

In other words they have changed the definition so they can pronounce it true.... haha.
Still can't prove that is the answer though... just that it would work. There are more than one way of getting to the answer 10... 5+5. 7+3 etc.
It is the best answer we have present, and I for one, sincerely hope it is true. But still not proven.... but proven that it could be. There is a difference.

And so because it 'isn't observable', does that actually make the 'god of the gaps' a logical belief?
Who said anything about a god of gaps? God is everything.
You obviously think that luck and magic is a better answer. We will stick with intelligence thanks.

It is a common misconception.

EVOLUTION is proven fact, the THEORY OF EVOLUTION explains the facts. Transitions have been observed any times, in fact speciation was first observed more than a century ago.

EVOLUTION is a proven fact

THEORIES are never proven, they explain the facts.

Hope that helps.
It is not proven. It is proven that we have a good answer better than any other.

Great point. If you examine most of the popular arguments for the existence of god, they reduce to some of of argument from ignorance.
It is spiritually discerned, another language. That is why you don't understand it.

Buying a DUCATI 916 when you live on a dirt road?
What about thinking that complex things like a universe can happen through luck and magic and then calling it something like, oh, I don't know, ''natural'' perhaps.
Yeah that would do it.
There is some sort of natural thing which does natural stuff, (naturally) and that somehow brings chaos into a form of order (as if it could) and that leads to complex existence including us. That would do. That would seem to be a pretty mental way of thinking

No, because it is not observable it is impossible to use the scientific method on it. It will never be anything more than a theory. It fails the scientific method. God is never and will never be a God of the gaps. He is the master scientist. The great architect of the universe.
Certainly science seems to have changed from 'do the experiment over and over again' to prove it. I wonder if they told us this... hmmm. Perhaps we sahll have to just beleive them through faith... haha

Evolution is observable - the theory explains the observations.
In science there is nothing higher than theory, so saying 'it will never be more than a theory' is like saying 'he will never be more than the greatest man ever'.
Evolution on a grand scale is not observable... that is the point

The formal scientific definition of theory is quite different from the everyday meaning of the word. It refers to a comprehensive explanation of some aspect of nature that is supported by a vast body of evidence.

So in other words, Darwin was right. He did not have a theory he had a fact... haha funny. But since then. evolution is defined differently. Hope that helps.

Well god obviously. You can't argue that a natural emergence for the universe is MORE magical than the great sky wizard Yahweh making it. Positing a magical being as the source kind of ruins the idea.
And yet you don't believe in the logical outcome of your thinking. Strange.

False dichotomy.
When you are done knocking over the pieces and ****ting on the board, perhaps you can engage in honest discussion?
Or do you need a quick flight home to claim victory first?
haha... such wise words, and so helpful to the discussion. There's that bug again
