Brazil, where hearts were entertaining june
We stood beneath an amber moon
And softly murmured "someday soon"
We kissed and clung together
Then, tomorrow was another day
The morning found me miles away
With still a million things to say
Now, when twilight dims the sky above
Recalling thrills of our love
There's one thing I'm certain of
Return I will to old brazil
<instrumental>

The morning found me miles away
With still a million things to say
Now, when twilight dims the sky above
Recalling thrills of our love
There's one thing that I'm certain of
Return I will to old brazil
That old brazil Man, it's old in brazil
Brazil, brazil

I’m not up on current movies and I’m not much on T.V. except for educational programs. One movie I saw a long time ago has always stuck with me for some reason. :areyoucra It was called “Brainstorm” with Natalie Wood and Christopher Walken. :jam:

I just got through watching 12 Angry Men (the one made in the 50s). It reminded me of how much I liked that movie, though I didn't like the remakes much.

The Voice of Reason

Doctor of Thinkology
Best Movie of All Time - Wizard of Oz

Honorable Mention -
Witness for the Prosecution
The Sting
Young Frankenstein
Animal House
Braveheart
12 Angry Men (Original)
I'm still working on some more....

SK2005

Saint in training
Blazing Saddles, Space Balls, Robin Hood Men in Tights...Any Mel Brooks!
The original Romeo and Juliet, The Shinning. There are so many good movies out there, my personal favorites are from the 80's I think.

That is a great movie, No*s. Talk about a dream cast. For the most part, remakes never seem to be as good as the originals.

Remakes never are as good as the originals. So many movies are being needlessly redone lately and it angers me a great deal, though I will save you all the rambling of a ranting session on remakes. I can go on and on about them, but I'll be nice. :D

I have already quoted mine - a film called 'fluke'; I dare say it is so unknown that I fely I ought to describe it.
The story goes along the lines of, at the time of his murder, a man's soul is transferred to the body of a dog. The dog manages to remember where he lived as a man, with his wife & kids, and 'Attaches himself' to the family; during all this, he meets other animals that are like him, previous human beings.
It is a wonderfully romantic, sad yet beautiful film that I would recommend to anyone who appreciates a good cry at the beauty of a lovely little story.:)

Yes it does :D. When I first watched it, it blew me away. I still like to hold it up as an example movie to explain why we shouldn't have knee-jerk reactions to things.

I agree with you. That's annoying. I've only seen one remake live up to the original. That is not a good track-record.

On a similar note, I find Lucas' constant revision of the original Star Wars trilogy annoying. I want the originals...not the ones with more special effects, or the more special edition, or the still more special edition, and so on.

To just say something I always say pertaining to remakes: Just because a remake puts 1 million$ more into CGI effects than the original, does not make it better. Bigger budgets and bigger effects does not equal better movie.
