Favorite word?

What is everyone's favorite word or phrase? My favorite word is probably bonk. I love saying it!:bonk:

My favorite english word is probably scantily. It, like bonk, is just fun to say. Scantily.

In spanish though, my favorite word would have to be trabajabamos (pronounced trah-bah-HA-bah-mose). Very entertaining for me.

i don't really have a favorite word, but my favorite phrase is 'What the Duece?" from Family Guy.

Hmm...either defenestrate (hah! how great is it that the act of throwing someone out a window has its own word?)...or spelunk. That's just fun to say. Sounds like dropping a big rock in a pool. Spelunk! Heheh.

Yes, "antidisestablishmentarianism" does hold a place in my heart, though I still haven't thought of a good place to use it. Whoever said that was the longest non-technical word in the English language, though, should tell me how it's not a technical word .

Obsequious

I remember the first time I heard someone use the word "obsequious" - it was on Steve Martin's album "Cruel Shoes" and I thought he was simply making the word up. About three years later, I came across it in a book, and had to look it up. Great word.

My favorites are cacophony and superfluous. Hard to work into a conversation, but I really like them both.

Yes, "antidisestablishmentarianism" does hold a place in my heart, though I still haven't thought of a good place to use it. Whoever said that was the longest non-technical word in the English language, though, should tell me how it's not a technical word .

That word was the one that took my intellecual virginity (late in elementary school and from a church teaching) and I've been carvorting amongst the letters an syllables ever since - regular hedonist that I am. Books are such a delightful debauchary, a clandestine encounter, free from prying eyes amd moral judgements. One, the reader, only knows of the orgasmic pleasures being encountered. except the times a gasp is heard and a quick run to the dictionary on that lecturm may pique the awarness of the incident. But it, the orgamism, is generally silent with only prehaps a twinkle in the eye and a slight smirk of a smile.

I truely appreciate the quandry a Christian faces when such an incident happens while reading his bible.

By the way, the word is a label for the philosophy of what one espsouses in not formally tearing down the Anglican Church,. Technical, perhaps.but not in the realm of technology. You might call me a politco-disestablishmentarian for weeding out Church from State and, of course, the Religious Right would be antipolitico-disestablishmentarianists, planting more weeds.

I much prefer the past imperfect to the past preterite!
