No argument there but some more so than others. Once the news became entertainment it lost all credibility. I blame advertising.
I've looked at other sources,
& found no conflict. So it is
very likely happening.

Both parties did.
Was information faulty and only 1 side knew it?
I'm referring to the Iraq war resolution.
From the voting, it's clear which party is more hawkish. Republicans. It's always been that way.

2 searches is a massive investigation?
Multiple agents assigned....raids conducted....all to search for a stolen diary.
My tax dollars keeping the populace from terrorists, kidnappers, & murderers.
Good use of resources?

Investigation into Ashley Biden's stolen diary...
Excerpted....
The FBI has conducted multiple searches of people tied to the conservative political group Project Veritas, part of a probe into how parts of President Biden’s daughter Ashley’s diary were disclosed to the public without her consent in the final days of the 2020 election.

Justice Department agents conducted two searches on Thursday in the New York City area, The New York Times reported, citing two unnamed sources with familiarity in the matter.

In October, Ms Biden reported multiple personal items stolen in a burglary to federal authorities, including the diary.

A conservative website later published dozens of its handwritten pages.

Project Veritas, a right-wing group known for its use of undercover video recordings, maintains it is an investigative media outlet, while a federal judge ruled in October it wasn’t out of line for the subjects of one such sting to call the group a “political spying operation.”
Dear diary, I am worried dad might find his way out of the basement.

To launch a massive investigation for a stolen diary...yes.
Unless it's the diary of a child of a major party's Presidential candidate, and the contents of the diary were published online 2 weeks before the 2020 election, which obviously (at least to most folks) potentially makes it about much more than just petty theft.

Duh.

If Trump's daughter's diary had been stolen, would
you advocate that a grand jury be convened for
this "capital or otherwise infamous crime"?
(That's the constitutional requirement for a grand jury.)
Really...it's silly to categorize theft of a diary as that.

If someone stole Tiffany Trump's diary and published contents online just before the presidential election in which her father was one of the major party candidates, you bet I would, because obviously (at least to some of us) it was likely about more than just stealing a book.

If you really need that explained to you.....well.....that speaks for itself.

Burglary, theft and the possession and/ or trading of stolen property are crimes surely? o_O

Generally, the FBI would never concern itself with a
stolen diary....something personal, not valuable, &
not crossing state lines. And then there's the grand
jury....I've never heard of such an insignificant crime
requiring one.
