He had several boxes containing nuclear documents.
He hasn't yet denied that he had the boxes at his home, as far as I know.
You don't get to steal classified nuclear documents from the White House and keep them in your unsecured basement for anyone to wander into and find.
What do you think would happen to you, as a regular old citizen of the USA, if you did the same thing?

Well, they did provide a good reason apparently, hence the search warrant they were able to obtain.

Trump denies reports of classified nuclear documents at Mar-a-Lago

However, while the warrant to search Mar-a-Lago is general enough that may include nuclear documents, the FBI has not stated that they searched Trump's home for nuclear documents nor have they declared that they found such documents. To your point: We still don't know what documents were in question. What documents is Trump to deny the existence of? That he had boxes of documents in his home that the FBI took? Trump affirms that the FBI did take boxes of documents from his home. That he had classified nuclear documents (according to the Washington Post)? Trump denies he had classified nuclear documents. But even so, what documents are in question that the FBI thought it warranted search and seizure? We don't know!

Do you understand that a person can't deny having something when he isn't told what the something is that he supposedly has? That's why every day that passes where we don't have the answer to this basic question, the search looks more and more like the FBI didn't have a reason to search and seize.

You say the warrant was approved... therefore they had a good reason. That's exactly not what a good reason looks like. This is the same logic you would apply to a warrant the FBI got in a secret FISA court to spy on Trump (in which they used manufactured evidence). It is unacceptable for the FBI to conceal the reason for their search of Mar-a-Lago. Wanting to Get Trump is not good enough.

"Top Secret", and especially "Top Secret: SCI", are so sensitive that the latter must not be removed from the White House and MUST be read and/or discussed in a secured area there.

The bottom line: these documents were not and are not Trump's to take away and keep even after he's out of office-- period.

...say the warrant was approved... therefore they had a good reason. That's exactly not what a good reason looks like.
The affidavit is 30-some pages long, so it certainly isn't that simple.

So, what are you afraid of? Should we all wait and see what the process entails and what the evidence shows? I don't assume guilt, nor do I have any clue what a verdict on Trump would be even if he is put on trial.

Who cares what Trump denies? He is a pathological liar.

The fact of the matter is, this matter has been ongoing for at least a year. Trump took the documents, and refused to return them. Then he returned some of them, but not all of them. Then he supposedly put a padlock on the door where he was storing them, at the request of the DOJ. Now he's trying every excuse in the book ...

-He took them home to work from home
-The FBI planted them
-He didn't actually take them
-He took them, but he de-classified them so it's okay

It can't be all of those things, right? And you know what all that sounds like to any thinking person? Throwing out a bunch of lies/excuses to see what sticks. And apparently, Trump supporters buy it, hook, line and sinker. And they're still defending him? Why? Who knows, but it reeks of cult-like behaviour. Just imagine that Joe Biden took nuclear documents home. Or Obama. Or Hunter Biden. Then imagine what you'd be saying about it.

Yep! I've read his niece's book ... very enlightening but not at all surprising.

You literally asked me if Trump denied taking the documents...
You didn't like the answer so now you're asking who cares! Go troll someone else. Come back when you have an interest in what you're talking about.
If you read my post, you'd see that I posted several different lies and excuses he's given about the documents - and they all contradict each other.
So he can say whatever he wants, and he will.

On August 11th, he claimed that had de-classified any sensitive White House documents he brought with him to Mar-A-Lago.
Trump allies say he declassified Mar-a-Lago documents seized by FBI. Experts are skeptical.

The next day (the day on which your article is dated), he then claimed that he never took any classified nuclear documents.

It would seem he is a serial liar.

But thanks for providing an article that states he denies he took the documents, which helped to demonstrate that he's full of it.

You know, something I haven't seen anybody talk about yet seems to me to be very obvious, and very much a serious security threat.

Can there be any doubt, given how long he kept the documents, and tried to hide that he was keeping a lot of them, that Trump really wanted them? Doesn't matter to me whether they were declassified or not, or sensitive national defense matters -- just, for whatever reasons (presumably that he thought would help him) Trump wanted them.

And we've now seen that people came and went from the places they were supposedly stored in Mar-a-Lago, carrying papers with them, changing the boxes they were stored in, etc.

Now, shall we assume that there is no photo-copier at Mar-a-Lago? Can we assume that nobody with access to those papers had access to a phone with a camera? Therefore, should we rest comfortably assured that nothing was copied, and is now in one of Trump's other properties, or on private cellphones or or servers somewhere that the National Archives has no knowledge of?

I have to say, I would not feel comfortable making such an assumption.
