February average temperatures - disturbing

Cheer up. Let's play Guess the next excuse. Here's mine: It doesn't take into account the increased use of solar panels.

Solar panel surfaces are dark and get very hot in the sun, contributing to global warming/climate change. Letting the sun shine on a more reflective surface such as a mirror would reflect the sun's evil rays back into space.

I very much enjoyed a freakishly warm early March day today, a nice long walk with my dog. I will be dead in a decade or two, but I have grandchildren, so I can't help but feel a bit overwhelmed at what we are doing to the biosphere.

People had the same concerns back in the 1970s as well. But we've shown that if the earth has it changes, we learn to adapt.

Oh? And who instigated the other 5? Dinosaurs with their farts?
I see you're as well informed as other deniers. Assume for a moment the broad global scientific consensus on climate change is correct, what are your reasons for rejecting this?

I'm simply asking questions.
Who instigated the other 5 great extinctions? Inform me.

In my neck of the woods, average February temperatures were 10F above average and the warmest on record.

With the very warm February to go along with the warmest December in state history, as well as a warmer than normal January, the meteorological winter (Dec-Feb) will go down as the warmest in state history without question, surpassing the old record set in the winter of 1997-1998 by roughly 2.0°F. MSP even surpassed the Pioneer Era record warm winter of 1877-1878. So far, over 65 long-term climate stations have officially reported 2023-2024 as their warmest winter in history.

Here in Toronto, our February average was just over 3.0 C (5.2 F) warmer than average, and a new record. We have no snow, which means a lot of independent contractors lose a ton of money not having any snow removal to do.

And if enough people are careful enough with fire, then fire departments all over the world will be put out of business.
Time to adapt.

We also passed a bunch of laws so our waterways didn't become sewers and our air wasn't toxic to breathe. The same needs to be done for climate change. This isn't happening as much as it probably ought. We knew this was coming several decades ago and the changes become costlier and harder to do the more humanity procrastinates.

You mean solar, wind, hydroelectric, nuclear power didn't do the trick? Nor have electric cars?
Geez, it seems as if those measures might just not be necessary after all.
