My opinion is yes they should because to exclude them would be sexist.

I think everyone regardless of gender, should serve a minimum of two years in the military, do 2 years of community service, or go to college (their choice). It will help a lot with some of the self entitlement we see these days.

I do not agree with a draft to begin with. But that isn't your question. Assuming that a draft is going to occur, yes. I believe they should be eligible for the draft.

I tend to agree. Not sure when or why a draft would be absolutely necessary, and if that were to happen, not sure what a country ''should'' do in such a case.

We not only have a sufficient amount of military personnel, we spend more on our military (weapons, aircraft, technology in general, personnel training) than the next 26 other countries combined. In other words...doesn't matter how many "boots on the ground" China and Russia has, they'd have to get them here first to do any damage and considering we'd blow them out of the water or the sky before most even made it here I truly don't think it is a worry.

We not only have a sufficient amount of military personnel, we spend more on our military (weapons, aircraft, technology in general, personnel training) than the next 26 other countries combined. In other words...doesn't matter how many "boots on the ground" China and Russia has, they'd have to get them here first to do any damage and considering we'd blow them out of the water or the sky before most even made it here I truly don't think it is a worry.

Fact remains, bible stuff or not, that our military vastly outclasses in many arenas those militaries of other nations. It doesn't really matter the numbers of their military members if they can't get them here to do anything to us. We have an ocean to cross on each side of us and allies to the north and south. You can't put millions of boots on the ground if you can't get them to the ground and with our arsenal you are simply not getting very many, if any, here.

Current estimate I just looked up has it at 2,285,000 active duty and another 2.3 mil reservists.

US military has nearly 1.5 million active duty and approximately 1.1 million reservists.

(had to adjust numbers as they were outdated and just found updated ones)
either way, his numbers are off and the weaponry of the US greatly overpowers the weaponry of China. they are ranked 3rd for military strength and we are ranked 1st. That means, that even though our numbers are less our weaponry is leaps and bounds better.

But in Ukraine, Pres. Putin and Russia invaded a sovereign nation and annexed some of it, and it is claimed in the news that Mr. Putin is killing indiscriminately, two things that Russia is doing that are right in the vein of whatever America & her allies problem was with Libya. Yet no military response to Russia in Ukraine nor to their fighting to keep Assad in power.

The Battle of Armageddon is a War spoken of in the Book of Revelation in the Bible that says all of the nations are going to engage in a large scale war.

If we were that dynamic militarily, we wound not have lost in Vietnam, received a draw in Korea, and we wouldn't have let Pres. Putin and Russia annex a piece of a sovereign nation.

A draft may be necessary with the manner of man that Mr. Putin is. And I think that it would be sexist to only draft men.

Assuming the country is America, where there is a large enough population to keep a volunteer-military filled, then no one should have to register for a draft or conscription. But if we are looking at a smaller country where the population isn't going to adequately fill a volunteer-military, then everyone who is able-bodied and of sound-mind should be trained regardless of sex.

Are you honestly comparing our military now to what is was 40 to 50 years ago? Plus, there is a world of difference between defending your own borders and invading into another's. Home field advantage ring a bell?

As for waging many wars, what do you want us to do? Get involved in every skirmish in the world until we are in wars on every continent? You worry about our strength as a military force and then want to stretch us thin around the world?
