Actually, it doesnt say that Officer Wilson was fired for causing the racial tensions but rather it says the entire police department, including police dispatchers and miniorities who worked for the agency were fired due to racial tensions. That's a disbandment rather than firing for any individual misconduct. I stress that because the article does not define what acts were done to stir racial tension, which officers were involved, and how could any Black, Latino, Asian, women, police dispatchers discriminate against other miniorities. If every single Jennings police officer were fired for being bad then why did they RE-hire 7 police officers?

At best this officer had needed training reviews and counselling....... following on from the counselling I have no doubt that a pro police counselor would have been making a few recommendations..... that is, if they actually do use pro-counselors.

Is Hispanic 'Latin-American'? If so, then here you would be classed as white as in our home-office code '2' which means Mediterranean-white. All my mates ever want to do is lie in the sun to try and look like you folks!

It's funny, since I recall FH making much of the fact that George Zimmerman was half-Hispanic when he wanted to defend his stalking and killing of Trayvon Martin. In that case, IIRC, half-white Zimmerman wasn't white at all. Not even a little. He was "Hispanic". In this case, where the victim is entirely Hispanic, Hispanic people suddenly get to be white. But only because the cop is "not white", which we are supposed to assume means "black".

Although I do agree to a degree I do not think the divorce is relevant in assessing trust in this circumstance.
Not to sidebar/ derail but if that's how you feel I would avoid American society. There is a epidemic of divorcees and single motherhood here. Most before the age of 25.

The fact is, hardly any of the thousands of annual cop-on-civilian killings in the US - in many of which the victim is black and the killer white - make a blip in the news.
Therefore the argument that this is only news because the cop was white and the victim was black is fatally flawed. This is news because the **** has hit the fan to such an extent in Ferguson that editors consider it newsworthy.
Not rocket science.

It looks like some have lost sight of their main objectives, which is a classic 'tell' of stress-collapse or stress-threshold failure.......
I would comment further but many in our constabularies are looking like a pretty corrupt bunch just now.... so.... we need to tidy up at home first... sort of thing.

Of course, people don't want to be seen as a racist. Apparently that's as bad as being shot unarmed because somebody felt threatened. Apparently being called a racist is as bad as being called a rapist, and my goodness how horrible that people would say that since the effect is just as bad as being called the n-word.
Watch how this characters rhetoric about the LA riots in '92 after Rodney King matches a LOT with the rhetoric of people who are very quick to connect Michael Brown as a violent POS thug, and suggesting that the officer was only doing his job, and we don't know all the details, and how dare you call me a racist, and stop saying all cops are bad, etc.
This character is a White Nationalist.
With a swastika tattooed on his chest.
We live in a culture that normalizes this perspective and calls it "truth". And people of color are supposed to just be quiet about this?

About all I can glean from this is that you're angry at some people siding with the cop, & perhaps some people who aren't taking a side yet. A movie clip with white liberal apologists & a white supremacist will certainly raise blood pressure, but these are characters in a movie, & not posters here. You must've gone thru Hell these last few weeks.
