Final Authority

Katzpur

Not your average Mormon
"True", or, "that is the belief"?
For me... that's the belief. I don't see any secular authority or any book of scripture as having more authority than God himself. I believe that as long as human beings are involved in proclaiming what God supposedly said, there is the potential for error.

Jesus is in heaven.
In this life the scriptures
are the final authority.
So I would expect to find this written somewhere in the scriptures. Would you please tell me where it says this, and please don't quote 2 Timothy 3:16 as proof, because that's not what it says.

I won this debate.
The infallible scriptures
are the final authority.
You don’t win the debate until you can prove that the texts are infallible. You haven’t done so.

You also haven’t proven that they are the final authority. All you’ve managed to prove is that you’re a Typical Baptist.

Whatevs, guy, your response is 100 %
unresponsive, and it is still just a belief that
there is some "god" or that it had
anything to do with these writings.

There is no evidence that this is so.

If you wish to state facts not in evidence,
like that there is a "god" and that it not only
has the final word, but you now what it is,
so much the worse for you.

Bit of a side note, does this final word say
that there really was a noahs ark, world
wide flood?

There are thousands of dissertations
demonstrating the apologetics
of scripture and the divinity
of Jesus Christ.

Dr. Gail Riplinger's research is recent.
You've got to do a lot of reading
in order to get the information.

People can and do claim to "demonstrate"
the "divinity" of "Jesus". It convinces the
already convinced.

Can you also demonstrate that there really
was a world wide flood, such as he is
supposed to have referred to?

Evidence that Demands a Verdict
is an excellent book.

What really is the problem ?
Is it that you don't like what
scripture actually says ?

Seriously?
"Lawers" have to be good at logic, even
to get into law school. Evidence and logic
are what they do.
They'd be among the last to be convinced
by such nonsense.

ID has no merit, has never been demonstrated.
"Prophecy"? See Nostradamus. People
claim he predicted the 911. :D
"Kalam cosmo" is terrif for people who already
believe and want some sort of pseudo-logical crutch.

Your resort to such garbage does little to
fluff up the value of all your years of reserach

"I win the debate" :D

Like the flea said-

I conquered the lions fury with one mighty bite!

One problem is you do not know how to quote.
Nobody knows who you are talking to.

Oh and another?
NOBODY knows what scrip"actually says:.

But by all means recommend that book.
It is a marvel of self-discrediting.

You're annoying.
It's impossible to proof anything
through text messaging.
You're annoying. It's impossible to know who you're talking to unless you use the quote feature.

It's not impossible to prove things over the internet. You haven't presented one piece of evidence to prove that the texts are infallible. Judging by your most recent posts, the Troll smell is getting stronger.
