I call BS on your first sentence. It’s typical fundy Baptist claptrap that cannot be proven. You state it as fact. It is not the result of exhaustive textual criticism or exegesis.

You claim that you are not KJV only, yet your rhetoric is from a KJV only web site, and you tout the work of a KJV author who believes God really authored her work and do claims that authority. This is spiritual snake-oil salesmanship at its worst.

The KJV is an honorable publication— and accurate in its own right, but it is neither infallible nor God-breathed.

and Dr. Ruckman.

Dr. Ruckman believed the scripture

He read 6,000 books before his
doctorate and a KJV Bible 150 times.

You're more spiritual than Susan Wesley
and John Wesley and wiser than
George Washington and Abraham Lincoln.

Not only do you not need to read books
to know the contents, you don't even need to write a dissertation to know what
you're talking about.

Maybe you and Dr. Wikipedia

It has nothing to do with "smarter than." The KJV translators simply didn't have access to the documents we have today. It's a good translation (as I stated earlier, and which you conveniently have ignored), but there are better ones now -- and none are infallible. None. If that was the "common wisdom" of yesteryear, there is better understanding of the texts today.

The people you name are all "KJV Onlies" and believers in inerrancy. That, alone, puts them outside accepted biblical scholarship of our day. No surprise that you're a Baptist and so is Ruckman. Maybe we should take the Baptists and the JWs and put them all in a big room somewhere and let them duke out their fundy fantasies with each other.
