First time hearing about the Virgin Mary

Prometheus: I believe you have not read enough if you think that is the case. Perhaps that is the way it should work but I have even seen a writing where they admit they liven things up with a story.

You'll understand if I believe that you've not studied the facts of evolution to even understand what it is you're rejecting.

I believe If there were facts that good one would expect them to be better known. So what is the idea? Is it to promote evolution as a done deal in a black box but don't bother trying to look into the box?

Is it to promote evolution as a done deal

Oh!!!!!

You mean how ever credible university world wide teaches this biology as fact because it is?

Please don't place mythology in front of knowledge, that kind of faith is dangerous and embarrasses humanity. You FACTULLY get a credible education at a university or college, not from a 2000 year old religious book most do not understand in context.

I believe that is what I said that they are teaching it as a done deal so why bother trying to prove anything.

I believe there is no mythology in the Bible and the truth is that sometimes even mythology is the only evidence in existence. I question the credibility of the education the same way I question whether people have made a correct interpretation of the Bible. I don't put education on a throne as though it were a god.

I believe then that it is the fault of my credible educators for not teaching it. All they taught was a done deal.

I doubt that.

Evolution is fact. The overall theory can be adjusted according to incoming data, though. As any scientific theory dealing with facts. Where we really need help is on the Theory of Gravity.

If evolution were fact I believe I would accept it as fact but it is not.

It is. You refuse facts, you have since I have been here.
I believe you continually try to discredit me without an iota of rationality for doing so. I don't refuse facts. I refuse theories stated as though they were facts. Theories are theories not facts and the sooner you realize that the sooner you will be able to make a rational discussion.

That is your faith. The rest of the world however understand and knows there is mythology.

Of course I believe there is mythology ie the Norse Myths but I believe the Bible is not mythological and if the world wishes to see it that way it is because the world lacks or rejects knowledge.

You need to research how science uses the word "theory." For example, the Theory of Gravity is merely a theory, but gravity as a force is an observable fact.

Similarly, the Theory of Evolution provides the best "assemblage" of all the "pieces" of evolutionary FACTS.

The overall theory seeks to assemble all the facts into the most comprehensive picture. But each piece used is solid, undebatable, known FACT.

We know almost nothing about gravity. We know almost everything about evolution. Both contain facts (tons more for evolution) and both have put these facts into probable theories.

The bible is a narrative that shows gods interacting with humans. It IS mythology for that reason. Whether or not it represents truth or historical fact is a separate issue. It may be MORE than myth, but it might not be.

My Wife and I are both Buddhist, I came into it at age 14, my wife since birth.

Recently after being hounded by a Christian woman to convert she politely excused herself and left.

Knowing absolutely nothing about Christianity she asked why the lady refered to Mary as the Virgin Mary, I explained the story of Mary and Jesus.

It was interesting to see the reaction from a woman from a Village who has not grown up with these stories.

she believes she had an affair and lied to her husband, and he convinced himself it's true through Fear of losing his beloved wife, how it grew from there is what really amazed her.

Bottom line, Virgin's Cannot give Birth, and she finds it very amusing.

No offence to Christians, just an interesting moment seeing a point of view of someone completely ignorant of any Bible teachings as we only see generally opinions from those who grew up with these stories.
we Christians believe in miracles...which are a concrete manifestation of God.

You discredit yourself

I don't refuse facts

Yes you do.

Its a matter of education and if you refuse education you are making statements from ignorance not knowledge.

You use faith instead of facts for your conclusions.

. I refuse theories stated as though they were facts.

You refuse to admit that these theories are all based on facts, either through straight up ignorance, or willful ignorance.

Theories are theories not facts and the sooner you realize that the sooner you will be able to make a rational discussion.

There is NOTHING about rational discussions when one places FAITH over education. Its fanaticism and fundamentalism and you know this. You just refuse academic reality. Which means in simple language, you refuse credible knowledge in favor or religious mythology.

If evolution were fact I believe I would accept it as fact but it is not.

It is fact and I have showed you multiple times, the statements of its factual status.

I believe there is no mythology in the Bible

That is a problem, and its your PROBLEM. It is factual that the bile has mythology and pseudohistory
