A belly is spherical and the heart lies at the center or core of something.

But a more metaphorical passage from Revelations describes the Angels standing at 4 corners of the Earth. But when someone says "Let the four winds blow" we get what it means.

That's about it though, flat earth is not given much thought in the bible. So why do people claim it does? Ignorance? Bliss?

The word translated as circle is chûg - which means a flat scribed circle. = Plant a stick, tie on twine, walk in a circle at the end of the twine, scribing a circle in the dirt.

The word used for a sphere is dur, and can also be found in Isaiah.

Isa 22:18 He will surely violently turn and toss thee like a ball into a large country: there shalt thou die, and there the chariots of thy glory shall be the shame of thy lord's house.

The fact that 22 tells us the heavens are like a tent over this earth - confirms this. There were no sphere tents.

These are a couple of examples. Plenty more to be found if you ever read the Bible. In fact, that's how I started to disbelieve evolution and think the Bible is correct while evolution is BS.

I've already shown that CHUG - meaning a scribed flat circle, - is used in Isaiah 40.

Pro 8:27 also uses CHUG - meaning a flat scribed circle - not a sphere. Also from a "bird's eye view" oceans do not look like spheres. To these ancient people - water bodies appeared flat, - on their flat world, - scribed by the hand of YHVH.

How odd is it, then, to discover that every human group across the history of this planet who never even heard of the Bible managed to get that part right? Every human culture -- if it was going to survive -- quickly learned to cover their excrement and avoid sick people.

Stop pretending your own Bible is the only source for that. And kindly remember that through most of human history, one of the most prominent sources of human misery and death was an appalling lack of oral hygiene -- they mostly died (if they weren't killed by other humans) from problems caused by their teeth! And the bible doesn't even bother to mention that!
