Flood Evidences — revised

Are you Tim Lovett? Because someone with that name wrote those EXACT, SAME passages here:
Thinking Outside the Box: Size and Shape of the Ark

What is a little plagiarism among zealots, I guess....

Creos dont know anything because they dont understand
anything. So you are always going to get parroting and
plagiarizing.

They make not even a token nod toward intellectual
honesty. Copy paste of material to post as one's own
is just one of many many ways they are dishonest-
including, with themselves-for lo, they admitteth not even
unto themselves their dishonesty.

True, but hockeycowboy's most recent accusation against the scientific community sounded exactly like the ones Deeje used to throw around (e.g., science being a "giant fraud factory"). That's why I put my comment in the context of JWs.
I like deeje's 62* posts in which she accuses scientists of relying on "jargon" as an excuse to dismiss scientific facts.

Something I found supporting a quick freeze, indicating a catastrophe, and a sudden, extreme drop in temperature:

"Though the ground is frozen for 1,900 feet down from the surface at Prudhoe Bay, everywhere the oil companies drilled around this area they discovered an ancient tropical forest. It was in frozen state, not in petrified state. It is between 1,100 and 1,700 feet down. There are palm trees, pine trees, and tropical foliage in great profusion. In fact, they found them lapped all over each other, just as though they had fallen in that position"
— Lindsey Williams, The Energy Non-Crisis, 2nd. Edition, 1980, p. 54
Wow - wherever did you find this 39 year old book and come up with this particular quote so quickly? Did you find it in your library?

Or did you crib it from here:

In the Beginning: Compelling Evidence for Creation and the Flood - General Description

Lol!

I’ve probably forgotten more about geology than you’ve ever known.
Funny but true story -

When I was a graduate student, a bunch of medical students wore shirts that said something very similar to that. An arrogant bunch. So some of us grad students got shirts that said "I remember everything the medical students forgot".

How did the Colorado form the side canyons, running into the Grand Canyon?

With your extensive geology expertise, can you explain how it is that flood runoff necessarily runs into a larger canyon rather than flowing 'downhill' on its own?

So... pointing out plagiarism is an attack now, huh?

Maybe so, but I easily found 3 or so paragraphs lifted verbatim without attribution to the clowns at AiG.

Naughty, naughty!
Jehovah's Witnesses..."We're not young-earth creationists, but we'll certainly copy their material when it suits us (and hope no one ever finds out)."

Who knew @Hockeycowboy was a moral relativist? ;)

Jehovah's Witnesses mantra for how to wave away inconvenient information..."By any means necessary".

But I guess that's to be expected from people who live under the constant threat of social and emotional ruin should they waver.

Are you still relying on that charlatan?

You know that scientists are utterly unreliable. They
Cannot be counted on to generate the crazed woo woo
needed to supply the creofaux-facts.

Have you seen what comes up out of an oil well as it is
being drilled?

Sure would like to see how someone could find out
how things were laying from the slurry of mud and rock
chips. What is in one stratum comes up mixed with
whats above and then whats below, all in bits the size of
coarse salt.

The good preachers description is ludicrous-even if
he were not flat out lying about the tropical vegetation,
which of course he is.

But then our hero has no trouble with the lies of
his talking snake book, whats a charlatan preacher?

Post a photo of the drilling mud as it comes out of
the well, even the most crazed creo would have to marvel
at how one could see palms and ferns lying over eachother
in that.

You post it coz tiny tablet is hard to use.

I have seen small pieces of wood from a well drilled in glacial till. I did not see them when they came up. After they were washed they were similar to small pieces of driftwood. But none of those drillers were crazy enough to call them forests.
