@FearGod for the most part, that is, as far as we know. According to Arabic lore Muhammad was definitely married to Khadija for a very long time and seemed to thrive in his role as her husband. As noted however, at 50... at FIFTY years old ... he decided to take a child for his wife. That IS troubling. He had daughters who were older... Curiously, all his other wives he married after Aisha were not considered children by those who wrote their histories about Muhammad. That singular fact makes me believe she was very young.
