As with previous situations with those in authority in previous administrations, the statements have always been “Let’s wait and see what the courts do”. I don’t understand why people get so riled up.

You don't know why people get riled up because someone tried to overturn the government? Really? You don't think that is worth getting riled up about?

Absolutely, I just see that the reason that so many high-profiled Dems are leaving their party because it is actually those in auhtority in that party that is trying to overturn the government and make it more of a Socialist/Communist country.

I think that you have that backwards. I think that you guys have a conspiracy theories or two. We have most of the people that ever worked with Trump. An amazingly high number of ex-aides and other White House workers have identified Harris. That has never happened anywhere close to this level in the past. There have been some people that leave and hold a grudge, but endorsing the opposing candidate is almost unheard of. And that is just his ex-employees. There are still a few honest Republicans out there that can see the threat that Trump is and his terrible incompetence and are supporting Harris for this race.

Come on, man, how can you just swallow this nonsense? It's the same crap Hitler used in the '30s. He convinced much of the German public there was a Jewish communist plot to take over the world, and that all the problems they faced were the fault of these international Jewish communists. Doesn't it astonish you that someone can just do the same thing over again? The goal may be different, but the rhetoric is the same. Do yourself a favour, you're old enough to step back a few paces and take a mature look at the world. You're proving my point - picking out fine details, read in a particular way, because you think they prove your point. They don't. This isn't a 'what about this particular thing and what I think it means'. You need a total rethink, a broader perspective, an understanding of what is actually going on over there. Paxton's anatomy of fascism could be a good place to start. At a minimum, that could provide you with a better understanding of what you are supporting, and what it can lead to. Beyond that, switch your news sources. Fox and the like are just dopamine stimulators, useless if you want any understanding of the real world. Reading widely from sources you have been trained to dislike over a period of time might aggravate you at first but if you can work through that you'll come out of it better informed.Is it really? In 2017, Trump opposed the filibuster.
He flip flopped in 2021 when it suited him.
Do you know which position he'll take if he wins?

I think you are proving my point. This ends up being a political advertisement. Using the phrase “change your news source” (I just picked one just because I knew that the facts were true - not looking for a news source that satisfies your vetting) - when the details can be found anywhere means that you really aren’t interested in facts. Conspiracy theorist?
1) This statement is used always when one can’t deny what I said was true
2) The current court has had things go to the liberal side, the conservative side with a once in a while completely in agreement on all sides 9/0 rulings… This sounds like a well balance court - it just doesn’t fit your narrative.
