He is gorgeous, Druidus ; as an aside why do people 'dock' tails ? I have never really found out.. what the owner did to your little one is criminal; If I bumped into him, I'd probably feel like 'an ear for an ear' ..........:help:

Oh, he is so cute! I'd take him, but he'd have to be in quarantine for 6 weeks when he got here, and it get's to 40 degrees celcius (sometimes over) over the summer.:(
No fun for that beautiful boy, I'd wager.

My father got up this morning, and I tried to broach the idea of shipping the dog somewhere. He blew that idea out of the water instantly. Told me I have to bring the dog to the pound. I'll go to the airport to find out shipping costs and possible dates. Looks like I'll be keeping the dog secretly for a couple days.

It'll be above zero for the next couple days, but it's only 2 degrees Celsius at night. During the day (except weekends), I can keep Cormac inside with me, but one weekends, evenings, and nights, he'd have to be outside hidden in a small shed, with toys and food.

Why must my parents be so stubborn in this? :(

He's gone. However, all is not lost. I managed to schedule, through the pound, for the puppy to be sent for breeding in Ottawa (breeding half-wolves). It's what they normally do with wolfdogs. If he turns out to be as large a specimen as it looks, he'll be a stud. On the breeding enclosure, there is 1600 square feet of space for Cormac, so he'll have lots of room. They're fed with venison from roadkill.

Sorry Luke Wolf, but there was nothing I could do. I really wish I could've kept that guy... :(

Though he's probably gone somewhere that will be healthier and happier for him anyway. :jiggy:

This only worked out because I know the guy at the pound, though I didn't know he worked there. :jiggy:

You know, they're actually quite common up here. Our second dog up here was a mix with some wolf (our first was a pure golden retriever, who got all sorts of mental problems). I've seen about four part wolf dogs this week. Cormac is kind of rare, because half wolves aren't common, but 1/4 and less wolfdogs are pretty common. This is because of the large wolf pack not fifteen kilometres out of town, which sometimes includes a couple feral dogs from the town. They are migratory, however, so it's only every now and then that a burst of wolfdog population appears. You can probably get one somehow. The Ottawa program that breeds them, I believe, doesn't sell them for too much. 500-600CAN$ at eight weeks and weaned. Price varies, however. (The runt of the pack is less expensive, and the top of the litter is more expensive.)

You could look for breeders.
