I last saw him been wandering over in the X-Men, (the ones where Nocture from eXiles was having to team with the bad guys) and then wound up accidently killing someone he cared for. I can't find where he is after that, though. (He was also in Uncanny X-Men, before moving to X-Men.)

In the Battle of Alesia. I can't spell that, so don't go searching for the name . Basically during his Gallic campaigns he laid siege to a small group who situated themselves at the top of the hill. Reinforcements came, though, and Caesar dug himself in fortified it. He practiced a very hands on defense, and in the end managed to route the Gauls. We all know the outcome of that war lol.

Given how long this took, I'm going to have to give you 2K of my coins also .
