Gays Responsible For Tsunami Muslim Cleric Charges

(Riyadh) A leading Muslim cleric says that the tsunamis which devastated South Asia and killed more than 150-thousand people were Allah's punishment for allowing gays into the affected countries.
"These great tragedies and collective punishments that are wiping out villages, towns, cities and even entire countries, are Allah's punishments of the people of these countries, even if they are Muslims," Sheik Fawzan Al-Fawzan told Saudi television in an interview translated by the Middle East Media Research Institute.

"We know that at these resorts, which unfortunately exist in Islamic and other countries in South Asia, and especially at Christmas, fornication and sexual perversion of all kinds are rampant," the Institute, which monitors television news in the region, quoted Al-Fawzan as saying.

"The fact that it happened at this particular time is a sign from Allah. It happened at Christmas, when fornicators and corrupt people from all over the world come to commit fornication and sexual perversion. That's when this tragedy took place, striking them all and destroyed everything. It turned the land into wasteland, where only the cries of the ravens are heard. I say this is a great sign and punishment on which Muslims should reflect.

"All that's left for us to do is to ask for forgiveness We must atone for our sins, and for the acts of the stupid people among us and improve our condition. We must fight fornication, homosexuality, usury, fight the corruption on the face of the earth, and the disregard of the lives of protected people."

Al-Fawzan is a member of the Senior Council of Clerics, Saudi Arabia's highest religious body. He is also a professor at the Al-Imam University. His religious books are used to teach 5 million Saudi students, both within the country and abroad, including the United States.

It is not the first time that gays have been blamed for a devastating event. Immediately following 9-11 fundamentalist Christian minister Jerry Falwell blamed gays and pro choice advocates for the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon.

Speaking on the 700 Club religious program Falwell said, "The abortionists have got to bear some burden for this because God will not be mocked. And when we destroy 40 million little innocent babies, we make God mad. I really believe that the pagans, and the abortionists, and the feminists, and the gays and the lesbians who are actively trying to make that an alternative lifestyle, the ACLU, People For the American Way, all of them who have tried to secularize America. I point the finger in their face and say 'you helped this happen'."

The scary thing is, I almost completed the thought 'at least not all of the religious nutcases are on our continent' before I remembered how not relieving that thought was.

QUOTE: (Riyadh) A leading Muslim cleric says

Did Riyadh also say to the weather to make a tsunami?

So how is it something of falsisity from him got put on a news headline.

Because he is a A leading Muslim cleric says

If you were A leading Muslim cleric would you know the answer to the tsunami, no, he is no greater than you, its a deception and his selfish use of his platter of oppourtunity, he will be dealt with. EVERYTHING IS DEALT WITH BY MOTHER NATURE! WE ARE JUST UPGRADES! COUGH SOUL COUGH.

LOOK AROUND YOU THE WORLD IS CHANGING - GOOD THINGS MUST BE HAPPENNING.

I Have the feeling that as the days go by and the news plays its news all of you that read this will become more comfortable from this post.

Do not do what world leaders speak of, its for their bennefit and thats how they become world leaders.
Do all that you can do. Be hopefull.
anything else is a trap, look at how the homosexuals who i speak of as being tricked, not guilty, look at how someone says WHAM about them, and in the end i guarantee he will not prosper from these acts. The seed that falls into a thorn bush and sprouts will be choked by thorns eventually, it is the same for animals and humans, you just have to upgrade the plant, and upgrade t he things choking it. And it all works out. And has stayed that way.

Now what happens when a cropfield of plants spreads a fungus among the entire field, unintentionally. Isnt that whats happening to the world of humans at this second? -- how dare he seek honor through his name by inducing hate on the already attacked and confused poor souls he has. Thats pretty thorny. watch what happens.

Is this fool kidding ?!! I've read some stupid things in my time but this is the worst . The sad thing is that someone so ignorant is allowed to teach kids how to become as stupid as he is !
To say that 9-11 happened because of all the unborn babies that were killed is also just STUPID and IGNORANT!!!! :banghead3 :bonk:

Hey! Before you rubbish the Muslim guy, a Bishop in Sydney, Australia, said the it was God's sign that the end was nigh! A sign from God, his God, that the world was ending. Whe questioned further, he made the politician's defence, 'I was quoted out of context.'

Sadly, it doesn't surprize me one bit that some people would try to exploit the misery and suffering of others to advance their own political agendas. I wish it could surprize me though. I feel old.

Plenty of terrible things have happened for thousands of years, and the world hasn't ended yet. The eradication of 6 million Jews. Earth Quakes, Holocausts, World Wars, Slavery, Injustice, Corruption, Terrorist Attacks, and many many more. I thought Jesus said he would come like a thief in the night. A thief doesn't usually tell someone he is going to rob them. I have a feeling the world will all end at once.

You don't think the Muslim Cleric's name translates into English as Pat Robertson or James Dobson, do you?
No TVOR... it comes out as t3gah! :D

But really... I surely don't understand this. One cleric has condemned Christmas as the reason for it.

Those damn gays.
I've seen a number of "apocalyptic" type messages highlited from our (U.S.) media from this and that religion, it makes me want to smash the television when they help promote this type of garbage by giving it any air play- there are a lot of other real issues (but we are talking about the U.S. media). I look at it like this- nature does what it does and always will, if you happen to be unlucky enough to get in the way then well, goodbye. It is a tragedy but not punishment from someones "god".

Heh, Fred Phelps, the infamous hatemonger also blamed this horrible tradgedy on homosexuals. In fact, he even went so far as to wish for the deaths of all the Swedes in the region affected. :(

This is true, Holly, but remember, it is people like Fred Phelps and these Muslim Clerics that are carrying the banner for their respective religions - until someone of their faith stands up to denounce them. Pitifully, the silence is deafening. Now THAT is a sad thing. :(

TVOR

That's not really fair, TVOR. Holly is a Christian, and she just gave her two cents. So did other Christians on this board like Doc, NetDoc, and a few others.

I don't doubt that many Muslims think Osama Bin Laden is an ignorant hatemonger...but the media doesn't always air their outrage.

I agree, but what easily recognizable leader of these faiths will stand up and denounce it? If someone that nobody had ever even heard of stood up for them, nobody would listen anyway. I, personally, stand up for them on forums and stuff but I admit that it would take an easily recognizable leader to denounce it and make it more well known.
