Lava that is horrible. How can this happen. Is the fight against Israel worth it when this is the end result? As always, the innocent will die with the rest of us :(

42 Palestinans Killed in UN-run Schools

(6 January 2009)

An Israeli strike killed at least 40 people who had taken refuge inside a UN-run school in the northern town of Jabaliya.

Earlier in the day, two people were killed when an artillery shell slammed into another UN-run school in the southern town of Khan Yunis and three people were killed in an air strike on a school in the Shati refugee camp in Gaza City.

One strike killed 13 -- including seven children -- from the same family in Gaza City.
Israeli attacks have reduced thousands of buildings in the territory to rubble, overwhelmed hospitals with wounded and filled Gaza's deserted streets with smoke and fire.

Trapped

Velasco, who is married to a Palestinian doctor, and her family are now imprisoned in the place they have always called home.

"What are they achieving with these bombs?

"I do not know what will become of us."

Another crime against humanity to be added to the long list of Israeli atrocities

And the holocaust continues, seen by the whole world on TV and recorded on video .....

Robert Fisk's Comment on the Schools Carnage in Today's Independent:

Had George Bush had the courage to demand an immediate ceasefire 48 hours earlier, those 40 civilians, the old and the women and children, would be alive.

What happened was not just shameful. It was a disgrace. Would war crime be too strong a description?

Robert Fisk: Why do they hate the West so much, we will ask - Robert Fisk, Commentators - The Independent
Robert Fisk is a well known reporter that has covered the middle eastern conflicts for almost 30 years. He also wrote a book called "the great war for civilization" about these conflicts. I have great respect for his knowledge and would believe him over what most governments would tell us. Thanks for posting that.
